A video of the Jaguar hearse after we carried out paint correction and a ceramic coating application. A mirror like shine was achieved after completion of treatments.😃👍

Up in Kilmarnock on Friday to carry out an exterior valet, machine polish and ceramic coating application to this state of the art Jaguar hearse.
As with all polishing work, its all in the preperation.
The paint work was fully prepared for polishing beforehand including the use of a paint cleanser (50/50 rubbing alcohol) to remove any remaining dirt or grime from its surface.
... The panels were then two stage machine polished and a glaze was applied.
The ceramic coating was thereafter added.
At completion of the work the paint had a deep glass like shine and was fully protected for 12 months.
Took a while to complete but the effort was worth it.

Heres a wee video of a very nice Jaguar XJL that we carried out some detail work on, in Kilmarnock recently.
The Jag had swirl marks that needed to be removed and a general refresh to the laquer was required.
The car was fully washed, detarred and thereafter two stage machine polished.
... To complete the job a heavy sealant was then applied to protect the exterior.
The phantom black paint at finish had a deep wet like shine.
A very satisfying job and definitley worth the time and effort restoring this cracking cars shine.😃👍

The Gleam Machine was working in Lockerbie recently, carrying out an interior valet on this Isuzu farm pick up.
The vehicle hadnt been cleaned inside for sometime. As its used as intended for farm work there was a heavy build up of hay, and dirt etc.
The leather interior and all surfaces required an intensive clean using strong interior detailing chemicals as well as the use of a steamer to break down staining and marks.
... The carpets were treated using a concentrated foam fabric cleaner, vaccumed and then deoderised using a Poor boys freshner.
All surfaces were fullly dressed and the leather surfaces were treated with leather balm to provide future protection.
At the completetion of work the interior was fresh, clean and rejuveated.
A very satisfying day valeting and restoring the shine to this cracking Isuzu. 😀👍

A short post showing a valet we carried out recently in Ayrshire on this very nice Porsche Cayenne.
The car had a heavy build up of tar and road contaminants on the lower sills, wheels and bumper areas.
A full detar was carried out using concentrated Tar remover, TFR, and iron fallout.
... Snow foam was then applied over the chemicals and allowed to dwell.
A two bucket wash was then carried out.
The paintwork was towel dried and a Poorboys sealant was applied for protection.
At the finish of the job, the arctic white paintwork was contaminant free and had a deep slick shine.
A very satisfying day restoring the shine to this cracking Porsha.

Attached a short video of the Kawasaki ER6 we had in recently. Here strong TFR and other chemicals are being used to break down baked on contaminants. The red colour seen in the foam is brake dust removed from the wheels.😃👍

Back at Gleam Machine HQ, this cracking Kawasaki ER6 was in for a full valet as it required some TLC.
The bike had been in storage for some time and required a full detar, clean and removal of dust, excess oil and grease build up.
There were also a number of components which had rusted that also needed addressed.
... The bike was initially treated with Gunk oil and dirt remover.
The instrument cluster and exhaust port were covered to prevent water ingress. Thereafter a strong PH neutral TFR snow foam was applied to break up baked on dirt.
The wheels, frame, and under side were treated using an iron fallout chemical to assist in the removal of contaminants particularaly around the rear suspension unit and rear wheel.
After a two bucket wash a sealant was used to give protection to all surfaces.
To finish all rusted bolts and components were treated with Ku Rust remover and the drive chain was lubricated.
At completion of the job the bike had a deep glossy shine, components looked rejuvenated and it was all ready for the season ahead. 😃👍🏍

A quick post showing a nice RCV we valated recently at Gleam Machine HQ.
As with most cars at this time of year tar and insects were the main issues needing addressed.
Strong TFR and tar remover were applied prior to a two bucket wash.
... Following wash the car was fully detailed.
At completion the exterior was contaminant free and had a nice deep slick shine.
A great day valeting in the upper nithsdale sunshine!

Due to work commitments its been a while since we added a post.
The Gleam Machine was in Lockerbie on Wednesday to carry out a full valet on this flame red Mitsibushi Barbarian Pick up.
Its used as a work vehicle and needed a bit of TLC.
... The exterior was given a full de tar and strong traffic film remover was used to remove dirt and tar affixed to all surfaces.
The wheels were treated with a strong acidic wheel cleaner to remove brake dust build up.
A sealant was then applied to protect all surfaces.
On to the interior which had a build up of dirt and debris.
All surfaces were dressed and fabrics were vaccumed.
The loading area was then addressed, it had a build up of dirt and bedding material.
A foam traffic film remover was used in the loading area and allowed to dwell for a time. It was then sprayed clear and all plastic surfaces were dressed.
At completion of the job the exterior had a deep shine, was fully protected and the interior was rejuvenated.
A really satisfying day of detailing in Lockerbie restoring the shine to this cracking pick up.

🐶🐶🐶🐶🐕Hair of the Dog🐶🐶🐶🐶🐕
The Gleam Machine was back in Sanquhar recently to carry out a full valet on this Firecracker red Hyundai I10.
As is usual at this time of year, car exteriors have a fair amount of dirt and salt built up, and particularaly on the lower sills area.
... The majority of the work however was in the interior. As all dog owners know if your four legged pal accompanies you, dog hair and paw prints are inevitable.
The wee Hyundai was no exception with a significant amount of pet hair and paw prints on the seat fabric and carpets.
The outside was tackled first....
The car was fully de tarred and washed, following this a wax protectant was applied to the exterior to provide protection.
The interior was then fully vaccuumed and all fabrics were treated using an Autoglym fabric cleaner.
The carpets then had a strong carpet cleaner applied and surfaces were cleaned and dressed using an Autosmart interior detailing product.
To finish a lemon and lime air freshner was applied.
On job completion the exterior had a nice deep shine and the interior was pet hair free, clean, and fresh.
A very satisfying day restoring the shine to this wee Hyundai. 😃👍

Gleam Machine was in Lockerbie yesterday carrying out a full valet on this white Audi A3 S Line.
Thanks go out to Lockerbie Fire Service for allowing the use of the their station and keeping the biscuits and tea coming during the job🖒.
The majority of the work was on the exterior.
... The Audi was treated with traffic film remover, a strong de tar product and then two bucket hand washed. Following the wash it was towel dried.
A cleanser was then used to fully de tox the paint and a heavy sealant was applied to provide protection to the cleaned panels.
To complete the job Poorboys trim restorer was used to renew the look of all trim.
At finish the car had a nice, deep and slick shine. Another very satisfying day valeting and restoring the gleam to this cracking car. 😃👍
