Today is the day...we open our last race of 2019, hope to see lots of familiar and lots of new faces on the start line in Killin later in the year.
Don't forget to pop onto the BAM Forum and add yourself to the 2019 GO33 Roll Call :D
Please email in any questions to cat@runyabam.com as things are often overlooked on here as there are that many pages now...hence Mr Mike's shiny new forum to condense all the lovely BAMness into one place.

In the next few days we're going to be closing this Facebook page.
In an effort to simplify our setup and also to make it easier for runners to get information on our events, we're going to be moving to a single Facebook page and an all new chat forum. We're also conscious that not everybody has a Facebook account and also more than aware of their less-than-perfect attitude to customer data & privacy.
So if you can pop over to the main BAM facebook page, "Like" and "Follow" u...s, we'll let you know once the new website and forum are up and running.

So...discovered your waterproofs aren't really that waterproof...or your race vest isn't quite big enough for your race snacks....don't forget our very generous race sponsors have a lovely discount code in place until the end of the month.
Click the link: https://likeys.com/discount/GO18 then the Glen Ogle discount will be automatically added at checkout. Or you can just enter the code manually: GO18
Go on, treat yourselves...you can never have too many pairs of trainers or ...shorter shorts....

Well done to all the runners who took part today in slightly damp conditions.
Thanks to all the marshals who made the event possible, particularly to those who stood out in the rain all day to make sure everyone was safe and sound.
Thanks to all our race supporters, particularly the lovely Martin & Emily from Likeys
... And thanks to everyone who bought food after and in doing so helped raise money for the Killin Cancer Research Committee.
Time for the ceilidh.
Oh, and here's the full results too.

With the final reserve-list admin done, we’ve now confirmed final race numbers and they’re available from SiEntries at the link below or in your profile.
If you’re planning on having a drop bag for Strathyre, please ensure that your race number is marked clearly and legibly on the front (and ideally on the back too) of your bag.

The Big BAM End of Season Ceilidh is nearly here...and as usual we will use the event to do our final fundraising push for Cancer Research UK - Killin Local Committee. Always looking to improve on last years grand total of just under £3000 raised during the event, we are looking to you, our generous BAMmers...we need raffle prizes. Running based, sport based, normal life based, alcoholic, non alcoholic, edible, non edible, home made, shop bought, vouchers, time and talent..........all is gratefully received and will go towards fundraising for this most worth while cause.
The ladies of Killin will be preparing soup and sandwiches for sale alongside their legendary coffee and cakes. And BAM donate all ceilidh ticket sales.
Please help us raise as much as we can.

This year's race brief has been emailed to all runners and is available to download from our website.
The biggest change to note if you have done the race before is that runners can have ONE drop bag this year which will be transported to the Strathyre race checkpoint for them.
There will be not other drop bags available, but there will still be the four water stations at their usual locations.

Heads-up all you lovely people.... Entries for the 2018 race will open at 9pm on Monday the 28th May (Bank Holiday). Places will be available from SiEntries along with ceilidh tickets. We'll share the link across our various pages next week.
The race itself will take place on Saturday 3rd November and we're delighted that the lovely ladies of the Killin Cancer Research Fundraising Group will be on hand to serve hot drinks and cakes after the race as well as hot food at the ceilidh.
All proceeds from the catering sales and ceilidh ticket sales and raffle will go to their group.
