Fantastic views over the golf course and magnificent whisky bar

Wonderful place to stay. Generously spacious bedroom and bathroom. Delicious food. Every detail attended to. Great staff. Everything beautifully clean.

Went for afternoon tea, good selection and everything very fresh. Will come again

Wonderful food and excellent service. Well of course - Yorkshire staff! Enough gins to try one a day! Too many whiskys to count and a variety of bottles beers. Very nice hotel with views over the golf course.

We had afternoon tea, food was good & quite a selection however have had better quality afternoon teas elsewhere. Staff were great though, very attentive & helpful. Loved the tartan dining room chairs however the hotel itself could do with a little updating, less coloured voile maybe, it didn't quite go with the decor & hid the beautiful windows. Golf course looks great. Love Edzell, many fond memories, would return again :)

A good place to stop off for something to eat or drink when in the area.. Recommended.

Lovely food and staff are always pleasant and helpful

Glenesk Hotel was a most pleasant surprise, it earns every one of its stars.

We were made most welcome, our party had 3 deluxe rooms and a standard double, they were all spacious and and very tastefully decorated, the four post beds were attractive and so comfortable.

The public rooms all with log fires were decorated to a high standard bringing traditional together with modern comfort and design.

we used the gym, pool and spa these were quite small but clean and well enough equipped.

The service we received from every member of staff was fantastic, very attentive with the right balance of knowledge and friendliness, they knew instinctively what was needed in every situation.
And I have left the food till last as this was my favourite part,
there was a very extensive menu with most of the ingredients sourced locally.
My highlight being the smoked salmon starter served enclosed in a glass dome filled with lovely aromatic smoke; unveiled as the plate was set in front of me.
we could not have asked for more but the excellent food and service continued through to breakfast when all the requested dishes came freshly cooked.
I have never been so reluctant to leave a hotel, I cant wait to go back.

Amazing hotel and staff. The hotel manager, Dilan, was very kind and attentive during our stay, as well as the kitchen staff and our hostess, Vhari. We loved it here and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Edzell is a wonderful, quaint, country town and the people here are wonderful. We even had locals teach us how to bowl (lawn bowling).
