Love the idea of walking in the Cairngorms this autumn? Love the sound of traditional acoustic music? Join us for the Mountains & Music weekend. Enjoy the beauty of the Cairngorms on a guided walk & then retreat to the fire and enjoy traditional music sessions in the evening. Bring an instrument if you play and if you don’t, enjoy the sounds.

More fun up in the Pentland Firth; seals, puffins and a multitude of guillemots not to mention a wee bit of tidal flow.

One day left working with this awesome crew on the School of Rock course. It's been great to watch them develop and take such obvious pleasure in being in these beautiful and adventurous places.

Our latest Cuillin Munros trip on Skye had incredible weather and made the most of the dry rock.

Andy, Scott W, Andrew, Rodney, James and Paul recently summited Punta Gnifetti 4554m on Monte Rosa. This was a bespoke trip organised for them and it looks stunning.

A stunning day on the Tay to finish off a British Canoeing Canoe Leader Training Course...

User

Today's adventure; a circuit of Stroma. A bit of lumpiness on the west, a run through the Swilkie, an explore around the island before returning to Gill's bay in time for tea :-)

User

Great advice, check this out at 6.30 tonight on BBC and all do our bit to look after our stunning countryside.

User

We we're staying at the campsite over the road but walked up to the bar for a drink and food...the 4 dogs we had with us were made as welcome as us and the food drink and service was spot on.... keep up the good work

User

Quite simply its brilliant. The best in the very large field that is the outdoors. Two courses WEMSI first responder and UKCC Level 3 Core training. Organised, professional, inspiring, thought provoking courses that change the way you see the world. Get involved

User

Only visited Lochain bar food very good dog friendly nice relaxed atmosphere will be back

Just completed the IML summer training at the lodge. The staff and facilities were excellent and the food was sublime. They were very helpful with catering for a vegan diet and went above and beyond my expectations. Would definitely go again!

User

Just back from a two day mountain biking course, which exceeded all my expectations. We also stayed at the lodge in a very comfortable room and I was very impressed with the catering - delicious food and great veggie options which were just as awesome as the meat eaters got, so I definitely didn't feel like an after-thought.

Would highly recommend.

User

I’ve now done my summer and winter mountain leader trainings and assessments at Glenmore Lodge and it’s a superb place with inspiring instructors, great facilities, incredible food and homely accommodation. There is always a friendly welcome!

Assessments are stressful but feedback during the process keeps your spirits up and you performing to your best. Above all you learn a huge amount - really in keeping with the whole training ethos.

User

I completed a navigation course at the lodge in 2016. The facilities and instructors were brilliant. They were also able to accommodate my vegan diet which was great. Some people complain about there being no TVs in the rooms but personally I liked this about the place! Getting ready to book a winter skills course now...

User

Had the best weekend at Glenmore Lodge. Beautiful area. Friendly staff. Amazing food. Very comfortable beds! I did the intro to navigate skills and improver course which were both very informative and enjoyable. I would recommend doing both as they tie in nicely. I've left feeling very confident about my solo hikes / scrambles and will definitely be coming back for more! Such great value for money. An instructor Monty I can't pick a single fault with.

User

Great (dog) friendly welcome, fab local beers and awesome grub in the pub! I believe they do courses too which I’m sure are also very good 😉

User

First class facilities, instructors and accommodation. Did Intro to Winter Skills in February and it was fabulous. Lucy was a brilliant, enthusiastic and very capable instructor. The food and lodging was great and I would recommend any course here. I'll definitely be back to do more.

User

Fantastic weekend trail running with the guys at Glenmore.

User

Fantastic 7 days away on the 2 day winter skills and 5 day winter mountaineering courses at the end of February, we must have been the only people in Europe to welcome storm Doris (for the full winter experience). Excellent set up and the staff were great! We'll definitely be back for more! P.S. Enjoy retirement Monty! :-)

User

Excellent... I did all 3 training courses and 3 assesments with the Lodge and achieved my title. They are doing a great job :)

What I like most of all is the ideology and the approach when going in the hills or in the mountains. Assesments aren't easy but mine were all good experiences with Alex, Nigel and Andy. It's seems the ideology is "Let's go in the hills/mountains. Let's have a good day. Let us see what you have learned. We are here for learning".

Glenmore Lodge as my first choice... :)

User

Brilliant week doing summer mountain leader training at Glenmore, instruction by Sandy and Bill was so informative and inspiring, and really great fun- the flow of the week was great. Such a beautiful place to be!

User

Brilliant experience. Great instructors. And a well-catered stay to boot. I'll have to come back for more.

User

Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Superb facilities (don't think you'll leave the same size as you arrive- the food is amazing!). Friendly helpful team (even when needing to try on 5 pairs of boots to get the right ones!). Superbly organised and equipped shop, lovely bar area (very important!). Best of all- the technical capabilities of the instructors was superb. (Big up to Keith Millar who was amazing!) And, lectures to help build capability.

Rooms were really comfy and well appointed too!

They really have thought of everything! Thoroughly recommend it as a base, and their courses. No-one had a bad word to say, and we can see why!

User

Went here many years ago as a student to do the safety and good practice course with my uni mountaineering club. Instructors were first class and made the content easy to understand. Makes me lament the fact that there are no mountains where I live know. Keep up the great work everyone!

User

Very professional and a great place to learn. Rooms and food good too.

User

Nice place for a relaxing bar supper or a beer if staying in the area.
