Glenturk - Wigtown Self Catering Holiday Cottages

I recently had to accommodate my uncles family when they came to visit me, as part of a family get together. My uncle has a large family so Wigtown holiday cottage was a good choice as there is lots of room. It is situated in a lovely spot overlooking some lovely scenery and all the accommodation has been recently upgraded. My uncle and his family had a great time , Wigtown is a great holiday destination in Dumfries and Galloway

Family get together - The Barn at glenturk has been converted into two holiday cottages. My brother, his wife and son rented one, me and my own larger family rented the other. I was surprised how large and roomy each of these cottages are, many others I have been to would have been divided up into more units but here, space is the primary feature. The cottages are decorated beautifully, lovely furniture and fittings. The accommodation is immaculate, I particularly enjoyed waking up in the countryside and opening my bedroom doors to the juliet balcony and soaking up the lovely views. There was an alterior motive for me to choose this location as I have a keen interest in books and my favourite bookstore is located in Wigtown, just a mile away. We had a great family gathering and went home refreshed and recharged ready for the gloom of winter.

Very nice self catering accommodation just on the outskirts of Wigtown. I particularly like how open the cottage was, the living room was beautiful with views across the fields. Th ewalls are decorated by paintings by an amazing local artist. Really good.

I stayed with my family in the Galloway Cottage, which is by far the best holiday cottage I have stayed in. I like coming to Dumfries and Galloway for my holidays and really enjoyed this area of Wigtown. The accommodation is very spacious, really well appointed and beautifully decorated. just fabulous ! if you are looking for a luxurious holiday cottage by Wigtown then this is the place to stay.
