I agree with my gossip, i have had extentions done twice in glo...the extentions last at least 2 months and i am very happy with them...winnie is very friendly and happy to help with any problems...my friend also had the extentions done and after a few weeks asked winnie to cut them a bit shorter for her which she was very happy to do. my hair extentions look very natural. winnie charges a very reasonable price for the exentions compared to a lot of other salons who charge more than double the price. when i got my extentions removed the first time my hair was not damaged at all!! i feel that this salon has been treated unfairly with the previous reviews. i will definately revisit glo for my extentions.

Firstly can I just say to Jen, I have had these extensions 3 times and have been to 4 other hairdressers, one of which is the top stylist at Cheynes and never have any of these experts of the trade advised that these hair extensions that Winnie has done are harmful or ever cut/ruined my hair. Winnie is exceptional and these extensions shes uses are of her own. She uses a normal hair extension and puts several micro loops onto it and clips this to your hair. In my opinion its one of the safest around as its not damanging your hair. In the two months I had them in my hair, my own hair grew 4 inchs. The extensions were extremely managable, able to wash my hair normally and curl/blow dry/straight my hair as normal aswell. Anytime I have wanted them tightened or re-done Winnie has always been accomodating and goes completely out her way to ensure that her customer is fully satisfied with them. I have had so many compliments on my hair about how natural it looks etc and cannot stress enough how good this salon is for value and customer service!! If you are looking for the £600 hair extensions that Cheynes do, then I would advise to make an appointment there. If your looking for nice managable hair extensions that will last for 6-8 weeks (Especially if your looking to try them for the first time) that allow your hair to grow and dont damage your hair, then please go here. Should you require any photos of my before and after or anny advice, please email me as I feel that this salon has been given extremely unfair reviews. To give you an idea of how satisfied people are, 6 of my old employees had their hair done and out of the 7 of us, not one had any problems, issues, a cut scalp or any negative comments given to us by other hairdressers.

***DO NOT GO TO THIS HAIRDRESSERS IF YOU CAN CALL IT THAT***. If you have a KGB Hair Extension Voucher and have not used it yet ..... PHONE KGB NOW and get a refund. They do not use MICRO RINGS. Where do I start.... I had my consultation and at no point during this was I told that my hair cut was too BLUNT. This was the excuse that was used once the extensions were put in and did not blend in. It looked like I had put hair extensions underneath my own hair and my hair just sat on top. I had these done on a Thursday, when I arrived for my 10am appointment at 9,50am the place was shut, the owner and person that done my hair arrived at 9.55am. I have wore my hair up in a pony from the day they were done until I had these removed on the Tuesday. I went to a professional Hair Extension Salon only to be told that these were NOT MICRO RINGS and that in their whole career had not seen anything like it. KGB did not want to take any responsibility as the work had already been done and I had to speak with Glo Hair and Beauty. I asked my husband to speak with Winnie on my behalf as I was so upset and had been crying most of the weekend. She insisted that she had not ruined my hair but after many phone calls later and the threat of my lawyer she agreed to a full refund. This was issued through KGB. She did however insist that she remove these and my husband said that I would not let her anywhere near my hair again. I suspect she did not want any other Salon to see what she had put in my hair and even wanted to reuse the hair. Who knows. My scalp is now cut and the other girl that worked in salon that cut the extensions to try and blend them in has chopped away at my hair too and I will now need to get it cut again. This whole experience has put me off extensions and although many other people have said try proper micro rings I am just now sure if I could trust anyone again. These extensions were some sort of weave with loops attached and she also sewed the ends of the weave into my own hair. 3 of the loops could not be moved so I had to get these cut taking a bit of my hair with each. I have posted on my facebook page pictures of what she did and have asked all my friends to re post on their pages in case anyone is waiting to have these put in. So far 2 people have seen my posts and asked KGB for a refund after seeing my pictures. They have a Facebook page and funnily enough none of my pictures she took of my extensions are up. I cant STRESS enough PLEASE DO NOT GET EXTENSIONS FROM THIS PLACE. I can not rate this at all.

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be reporting them it was the worst hairdressing experience i have ever endured, i bought a groupon voucher as i wanted a full head highlights, i already had blonde highlights in my hair and had about 2 inches of root! when i went in i was sat in a a seat with my feet in the previous customers hair after about half an hour a young girl came and said il be with you shortly, when she eventually came i said i wanted full head highlights as she had not ask me and i was a bit worried by this time. She did ask me what colour i would like and i said maybe a shade lighter than it was just to brighten it up a bit, she showed my a colour from the hair chart and i said that was great so she went off to mix up the colour, came back and started brushing it on my roots NOT WHAT I HAD ASKED FOR AND NOT ON THE GROUPON DESCRIPTION after 30 minutes of sitting with the unknown mixture on my roots (actually think they had run out of colour and didn't add enough to change my roots) i was worried as there was no change to my hair whatsoever, the girl came to check it and said maybe we should wash it off its not working, one of the other hairdressers butted in that we should leave it another 10 minutes. my hair was left another 10 minutes and at that point they had to concede and agree that nothing was happening so i was taken into the back room where there was a kitchen area and a hair washing sink in the corner and some seats down one wall and all the staff bags and belongings lying about, not the nicest environment. she said to me "this always happens to me" then told she would wash my hair and put a toner on, i said to her that i thought a toner was not permanent and she assured me that it was so i had no choice but to lie back and let her wash the first mess off and apply the toner, once the toner was on i had to sit in the kitchen/staffroom/hair washing room for 20 minutes. i was then taken back through and sat in front of the mirror to discover GINGER HAIR...AT NO POINT DID I ASK FOR GINGER HAIR..I HAD BLONDE HAIR ON THE WAY IN!!!!!! i quickly told her i hated the colour and she said she could put some blonde highlights on which i agreed to, the other hairdresser who i think was hanging around waiting to close up came over and said to me it was a very nice colour the way it was... i was actually feeling a bit guilty for asking for the highlights and holding them back, but i said to her again i did not like the colour as i was used to my hair being blonde! my hair had to the be blow dried before the highlights could be applied which was awful as i think the hairdresser had had enough by this point and was extremely rough, i think i was given about 7 in all, once done i was taken back through to the back to have it washed and a dirty towel was taken from the laundry basket to put round my head. back to the mirror and I WAS STILL GINGER....In the midst of this the other hairdresser discovered someone in the salon had taken £100 from her purse and was having a tearful phone call about it, at this point i really needed to get out of there as i was feeling a tad tearful myself, she said do you want a cut i said no thank you, she asked do you want it dried straight, yes please i answered! 5 minutes very roughly with the hairdrier she said done!!!!!! MY HAIR WAS WET, ALL OVER THE PLACE AND GINGER...SAFE TO SAY I HANDED OVER THE VOUCHER AND LEFT WONDERING WHAT THE HELL HAD JUST HAPPENED IN THE LAST 3 HOURS!!!! IF YOU VALUE YOUR HAIR OR YOUR SANITY GIVE THIS PLACE A WIDE BERTH
