Busy litter pub that serves good food and good selection of wines spirits. Has conections with Robert Burns the Scottish Bard. Live bands appear now and then. Friendly Bar staff with reasonable priced food and drink. Busy at weekends

Price of drink was very reasonable..

Excellent historic bar with a good atmosphere, cheap drinks and has some live music events.

Whilst it may be one of the oldest pubs in the town, it doesn't make up for the terrible seating arrangement. It's like sitting on a train with seats and tables on either side of the aisle leading from the bar to the toilets.

It does have a good jukebox and a 'snug' (small enclosed separate bar).
