The December edition of our fabulous book blog by Annie Rutherford: Goethe.de/uk/literarytastings is out now!
This month we compare 'Thick of it' - a collection of poems by Ulrike Almut Sandig (Verlag Schöffling & Co / Seagull Books) with Rachel McCrum’s 'The First Blast to Awaken Women Degenerate'. We think this would be a truly good read over the festive season.
And, don't forget, we stock books of the German authors in our library. So hurry whilst stocks last!

I have just finished the A1.2 classes here having also just completed beginners German at the Open University. The building is fantastic, clean and spacious with good class sizes and the course materials were the perfect accompaniment to my OU course. The amenities are excellent (including library and communal area) and there is always a nice atmosphere. Ilse, my tutor was brilliant! She was friendly, helpful and a very effective teacher. I have learned so much over the past few weeks at Goethe and the practical experience I have gained has helped to enhance my German skills. Highly recommend Goethe and looking forward to September.
