With its great position in the beautiful village of Eype the Golden Acre is a gem of a place, we have just returned from our second stay and found it to be very friendly for us and our two pugs, we stayed in the A* bungalow and loved the larger shower room with more room to get ready for the day ahead, the accommodation is perfect as a base to explore the local area or with a couple of dog friendly places to eat in the village and a beach with stunning views 5 min walk away for a get away from it all break …… we will be back

We loved our break at Golden Acre. We were made to feel very welcome by the lady who greeted us on our arrival. We had a lovely time exploring the coast line with our children and little dog. Lovely modern-fitted bungalows on a great site. You can see and hear the sea in the village of Eype. Ideally situated for the Jurassic Coast and South West coast path. Lovely staff and very dog friendly. Thoroughly recommend the Eype Mouth Country Hotel for food and drink and warm welcome.

User

Just got back from a great four day stay nice warm welcome lovely clean bunglow could not ask for more. Fantasic place for dog he loved it only one drawback is the very narrow lanes but it would not be such a charming place without. Definately recommended :)

User

Its an amazing little slice of heaven that feels so far away from everything but its not. The cottage was lovely and cozy and the shower was lovely and warm (a major plus). The staff know the area so well and the welcome pack recieved in the cottage was awesome. Would love to come again in the warmer weather.

User

A little oasis of a holiday park. Visited in May with friends - we loved it & the dogs loved it.

A fabulous area for walking & great having access to the beach with two pooches who love swimming, but also a good base to venture into Devon & Somerset on days out.

Local hotel & pub welcomed the dogs which was ideal when we went for evening drink - my little one was just 6 mths so didn't want to leave her unattended.

Staff were very helpful & could do enough to ensure our holiday was as perfect as it could be.

We will certainly be back in the near future, but in the meantime have given out contact details to friends at dog training.

5 stars is an understatement really as I think it deserves more , I absolutely love it here as it is just so homely . We have stayed many times including a week last Christmas with 3 greyhounds,2 lurchers and a spaniel in a C type bungalow, it was a great holiday and was literally home from home , we came again at easter and will hopefully be back in the autumn. Seriously highly recommend this lovely little gem 🙂

User

We have just spent a week at golden acre in a type a accommodation which is waiting refurbishment..to A*..our first impression was what a wonderful warm welcome..on being shown the accommodation is felt a bit deflated..but upon finding the nice thoughtful thins that had been done like doggie treats for pippa and tea biscuits coffee milk and biscuits for us. The bed already made with crisp white sheets and the linen we had as extra was laid out for us the towels white fluffy and little other touches..cleaning equiptment. Pegs..heaters on..and nothing too much trouble from staff...I would have still thought twice about going again until I was shown a A* accommodation before leaving today...my dog loved the walks and was very relaxed and happy..the nearby new Inn were fabulous..

User

On our way home from staying here. Lovely quiet place to stay, beautiful views and some great walks. Highly recommend to my doggie friends

Have visited this site many times and just returned. It was a lovely break but I get suprised at some dog owners intolerance to fellow owners if their dogs don't settle immediately. Bungalow lovely and staff supportive and helpful. I plan to return next year. Thank you to all staff for their helpful suggestions and understanding. My dogs loved their break too!
