Good Morning Service

Good Morning Service is unique in providing a Telephone Befriending and Safety-net Alert service 365 days a year. Aim: We want every older person to be ~ and feel ~ connected, safer and valued to have the confidence to live life as fully and independently as possible. Main activities: 1. Building Meaningful Relationships - Every morning Telephone Befrienders call out to members at a pre-arranged time to check that all is well and for a good blether. We build knowledge, trust and meaningful relationships to become a long-term friend on the phone, there to give encouragement, friendship and emotional support in challenging times. 2. Safety-net Alert - If our Good Morning Call goes unanswered and the person can't be located we'll alert nominated contact persons or the emergency services to a potential health problem. Help will be sent, 365 days a year. Who are we?We are a dynamic, innovative charity who have set the standard. Having developed software, working procedures and good practice guidelines since 2000 we have set up 13 new services in Scotland, N. I. and Ireland, leading the way in an increasingly popular service in social care.
