I will be writing a blog post for #dietitiansweek on the subject of Food and Mood. We focus so much attention on diet improving our physical health and often forget the connection with our mental health! It's a confusing field however, be careful where you get your nutritional advice and information and do what feels right 🍓🍉🙌

Terrible reflection of the times we live in. If you know of someone who might not be feeding themselves properly take a bit of time and buy them some groceries, or better, make an extra large meal and keep a portion aside to give them a meal the next day. Making someone's day and taking care of their health need not be a burden ✌️

I spoke with the Huffington Post this week to clarify the risk of dietary restrictions.
Be mindful and sensible before cutting out important elements of your diet. Ideally you shouldn't do this without the support of a dietitian to ensure your not at risk of any nutritional deficiencies. Appointments available with Goodlife dietetics. Contact us today.

It's not a new revelation that we all must eat more fruit and veg, yet in the UK we still struggle to meet the targets. Yesterday I spoke to the Daily Mail to highlight the importance of veggies. Hopefully 2015 will see us eating much more veg, and reaping the rewards from all their health benefits!

I have this conversation far too many times with people. Take note- there is no benefit, and even sometimes harm, in consuming protein powders.
