Gordon Castle Walled Garden And Cafe

The food, decor and quality of service are excellent. We've been here a few times and always enjoyed what we had. The menu can sometimes be a bit limited if your a vegetarian or have kids. Not a place you would typically take small kids anyway. The only reason we don't give it a full 5 stars is because of the access. It's in the grounds of a castle and the track from the main road needs to be widened. You currently have the daft situation where it's single track but there's warning signs to not go off the track so if two cars meet someone has to reverse all the way back. Not great when multiple cars and coaches are coming and going.

Four of us had a lovely breakfast on Saturday morning. The staff were very friendly and cheerful and the food was great. Very fresh and very tasty! Would thoroughly recommend the cafe if you are nearby.

My mother in law, my dog, my baby daughter and I; all had a lovely visit last month. We ALL enjoyed the smoked salmon salad and will make the effort to come each year during our (husband's) annual fishing holiday.
The staff went out of their way to make sure we were all welcome.

Wonderful garden and excellent cafe. Service was really good and the cafe catered for a large party at short notice. The platter for children was really good with a wide range of food for my fiends little daughter. Service was very attentive and food was really tasty. We've been a few times and will be back soon. The perfect place for a bite to eat and a coffee in lovely surroundings!

This is a fantastic eatery - food is amazing and the staff are fabulous. The café is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the food - great selection for all tastes. The wee shop has some amazing products to purchase. Well worth a visit, don't listen to false bad reviews.
