Gordon Pattullo Accordion Tuning

This accordion came in needing a cosmetic repair having had the old bass unit socket removed. Here’s the result.

A Hohner Morino 1VM in for tuning. I also replaced the bellows tape which required some attention to detail!

Here's a Hohner Gola that I tuned this week for one of our top players. I thought I would share the end result which the owner is highly delighted with. It is very satisfying to hear and play this accordion after doing the work on it.

This is an excellent example of a Shand Morino accordion (internally & externally).It is almost 60 years old and apart from the new grill cloth, it looks like it has just been dispatched from the factory. I am delighted to have been entrusted with the tuning work on this wonderful instrument.

Hohner Morino VN. All reeds cleaned & re waxed onto the reed blocks with new valves fitted, and then the tuning process begins. I enjoyed working on this one!

Runrig, you were amazing! Here’s a little clip of Malcom Jones playing his accordion that I tuned for him. I’m very honoured. Runrig - The Last Dance, Stirling, 17/08/18 & 18/08/18.

Quite a rare 3 row accordion. I’ve just finished working on the tuning and compression. I also made & fitted a full length air bar as well as replacing the side panel with one that I had in stock. A lot tidier now and easier to play!

Left hand tuning is also important!!

Just when we were despairing about who was going to carry forward accordion tuning and maintenance along comes Gordon. If I tell you that his work on the 4 instruments he's tuned for me is at the same level as his musicianship then that's all you need to know! First class work in every way - HIGHLY recommended.

I recently had my Morino V at Gordon for a full treble tune. Great job. Gordon's attention to detail is first class. My Dad then asked me to take his Shand Morino to Gordon, again a full treble tune was required. Dad got his box back at the weekend and he is really chuffed with the result. Gordon is a true professional and I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending his tuning service.

Gordon has now tuned both my accordions, the Pigini and the Gola...absolutely delighted with both!
