We have visited the café on weekdays practically every week for two years. Lovely, friendly staff and great cakes. Our favourite café in East Lothian. Shop staff are also very friendly and helpful. Can be hard to resist going home with pies or sausages.

User

Very nice lunch, lovely soup and rolls with wild boar burgers. Excellent cakes and coffee too

User

Thank you so much for the delicious meat (Turkey and ham and all the trimmings). Christmas dinner was a huge success and there was absolutely no waste. The finest quality and reasonably priced.

Really enjoyed our walk (with permit, bargain at £1) around the beautiful grounds. Lovely lunch in the bothy cafe afterwards which was yummy. We will be back!

User

Nice cafe with a good selection of hot and cold drinks. The shop is well stocked with good steak pies. You can go round the sides to see the chickens, which is great fun for children. I love that you can buy fresh eggs that have been laid on the same day of purchase.

User

Lovely walk round the estate before a nice cup of tea and a delicious piece of chocolate cake! The cake was light and fresh, even at the end of the day! It was my birthday treat and I had a lovely day! I should say I bought some pies and sausage on the way out!!!! Easily tempted by quality!!! Thank you!

User

Hello, I came in on sunday and I took away 4 of your Moroccan goat burgers home. They were absolutely delicious! Very lean and juicy. I am now a goat convert. Lovely with a cous cous salad. Thank you

Have been driving from Musselburgh down here for more years than I recall for a tray of their eggs and a few goodies from their veg and butchery counter.

I buy supermarket free range organic eggs for baking (as these are too good to put in a cake) and you can easily spot the difference. The yolks are always a bright orange and, on the occasion I couldn't get Gosford eggs, and scrambled a free range supermarket egg, I would have known from the taste, if I'd been served them blind-folded.

Their chicken breasts are great quality per pound as compared to supermarket chicken (which I haven't bought in well over a decade and wouldn't buy if stuck, I'd go without).

My other half and my Dad love their beef olives, which I slow cook in my own beef and veg concoction, and we tried their Balmoral chicken last night. Amazing.

Oh and if you are shopping, don't miss out on their fantastic bacon rolls. The back bacon wasn't dry, or cooked in fat, and the white rolls the least doughy we'd eaten anywhere.

Wasn't too struck on the coffe though :-(

Had lunch in cafe today staff always friendly great food , tried the gluten free avocado and courgette cake was amazing . Salt pepper ribs ,pork and garlic sausages for later . Happy days.

User

Great location for a cafe and farm shop. Every time I'm in the cafe, the food is excellent. The filling in the panini I had yesterday was delicious (chicken mayonnaise).

If I had a complaint it would be to replace the teapots as they do not pour well and despite trying not to, they spill from the spout. A minor thing but I'm sure it does the same with everyone. It will not stop me from continuing to use the cafe though !!

User

Got magnificent rib-eye steaks and pork chops from here on Sunday and they were delicious. Just how meat should taste. I also have to say not as expensive as most farm shops. I also got a sweet chilli flavoured haggis which if it`s as good as the meat, I`ll be chuffed. We will certainly be visiting again, even though it means a trip from Kirkcaldy.

User

First time I have been down this road to the farm Shop. Always saw the sign on the main road and never ventured along. The shop is brilliant and I liked the butcher meat. They also sell The Isle of Arran cheddar. I’ll definitely be back.

User

Championing produce of East Lothian terroir from local carrots to pedigree beef or chanterelles when in season, this immaculate farm shop is managed by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Once you have been there you will never buy meat from supermarkets again

User

not much of a selection and NO ice for drinks on a very warm day. Food was nicely presented and well filled panini

User

Couldn't praise this coffee shop enough to friends

Our favourite place to stop on way to

North Berwick

Popped in with friends for their first visit on

Friday and was left extremely embarrassed and disappointed at the service

User

Waited in a queue of only four people, not exactly busy, for best part of 25 minutes without having ordered. With three people still ahead of me I gave up and left. Only wanted a good coffee and a bacon roll. Very disappointing as had enjoyed visits here in the past whilst out on the bike. Will think twice about stopping again.

User

Just so unfriendly. I'm not really into shops cafes ect who think they are doing you a favour.
