PRINCES TRUST - LOcHER Prject. Back in 2017 Gowrie Contracts were involved in the Dundee and Angus College's Princes Trust LOcHER Project. The team developed a fantastic video on the dangers of asbestos. The team worked tirelessly to put the video together which included a visit to Gowrie Contracts .
We are delighted to announce their video has won an award from Safety Group UK. 1st 2nd & 3rd announced at the House of Lords on 28 January 2019.

We were delighted yesterday to attend the Abestos Action AGM at The Discovery Point. Beth, along with Billy from Environtec presented at the event on the importance of asbestos surveys.
This is a charity we feel very passionate about; their relentless and invaluable work helping those suffering from asbestos related diseases can not be underestimated.
We are in discussions regarding the different ways we can help them out this year... we will keep you posted!!

Asbestos awareness training tells us that there were "over 18,000 uses for asbestos". This morning we were asked to deal with one of its more unusual ones.
Platinised Asbestos is asbestos that is permeated with finely divided platinum and used as a catalyst in chemical reactions.

Demolition of the former Kirkcaldy Swimming Pool in the final stages. Yet again the foundations are massive.
