Green Apple Nursery

Thank you to Catalina's mummy who popped along to the 1-2 room last week to teach the children and staff some basic spanish words. The children and staff from the 0-2 department enjoyed their visit and look forward to putting their knowledge into practice.

Exploring Spaghetti Worms & Eyeballs

Sometimes in the Autum our Garden gets messy, it looks untidy when the leaves fall from the trees! But the children enjoy exploring them, the colour change, the crunching noise, the soggy feeling and the different types of leaves!
What suggestions do our parents have for activities that we can do using the leaves from out garden?

Creative play is a vital part of childhood and child development. Through creative and imaginative play children can grow emotionally, socially, intellectually, and even physically....
The afternoon began today by the children talking about autumn leaves and Halloween pumpkins. The staff were responsive to the children's discussions and that's where it all began! By the end of the afternoon the children had:
🍏 Been to the supermarket and purchased pumpkins.... 🍏 walked to the local woodland where they explored the fallen leaves. 🍏 Collected sticks and created hedgehogs using the sticks and pumpkins. 🍏 Found two trees close by where they wrapped cling film and painted using their imaginations. 🍏Sat together to have snack whilst developing social skills. 🍏 Splashed in puddles developing their Physical skills.
Like any other day it was a busy afternoon at Green Apple Nursery and the children had great fun being curious and creative within the outdoors.

The boys and girls at Green Apple Nursery benefit from outdoor learning on a daily basis.
We are very lucky to have two safe and secure gardens within our learning environment where children can be curious, explore and develop skills for life 💚🍏

Online Learning Journals have a 'Star Moments' Tab! This tab is for parents to upload their child's star moments which will then allow the staff to celebrate achievements, success and progression with your child at nursery.
This can be anything that you want to let us know about, visit to grandparents, trip to the park, outing to the beach, a family holiday, dancing competitions, swimming lessons and football games just to mention a few.
... All you have to do is upload a photograph and let us know what your child is doing. This will then engage the children in conversation with their peers and the staff at nursery.

We love this nursery. Adam always has a great time. The ladies are great and you can see that they really care for the kids.

The stuff Neeson comes out with amazes me! From what he's learnt and things he knows, I have seen him change and grow so much with the help of the staff at Green Apple!

Staff are friendly, attentive and approachable! Wide variety of food served to the children too! Jack absolutely loves it and always giggles as I'm taking him in every morning!

Green apple is a fabulous nursery and in my opinion the best in Hamilton by a mile. The nursery is spotless and so colourful with fantastic equipment both indoors and out. I have found all the staff to be really attentive and I have a really good relationship with a lot of the staff. I found the owner and the manager Nicola to be very approachable and they are always looking for input from parents and they always take on board your comments. Most importantly my son loves his nursery and goes in smiling everyday and usually doesn't want to leave at the end of the day. Well done everyone at Green Apple x
