Last night was our first night at the Boat Station. We will be training at the boat station every Monday and Friday for the next few months. All cadets who had buoyancy aids issued last year are to use the same number this year, PO REGAN is busy preparring the unit WSEL and all buoyancy aids will be ready for use this coming Friday, please check the unit stateboard for activities. Cadets who haven't yet taken their swimming test will be given an opportunity over the next week. Hope we all have a fantastic season with many qualifications.

Fantastic day for the sponsored cycle... Just two mishaps, JSC sneddon tried to take his BMX off road, and AC Purves' punture repair kit didn't work, better sticking to glue and patches. Pictures to follow.🤣

Sunday is the unit sponsored cycle starting at Baker Street 10:00. Cadets need to arrive around 09:30 to have their bikes checked over...Please bring something to eat and drink as we will have a stop over at the halfway point. All sponsor forms need to be brought with the cadets for stamping?

Cadets have spent the last two days onboard RFA Tidesurge, the ship will set sail tomorrow for Scotland... The last two days have given the cadets an opportunity to visit the museams and historic dockyard.

User

And we're off, the Ship has been mobilized as the Greenock Sea Cadets are on their way, stores locked up, special training of the ships company and all screwdrivers and spanners to be handed in on arrival.

User

First of the new batch on his Exped practice guess who?

Last night the Juniors, had an eggstraveganza... The prepared as many different ways they could cook an egg... The CO sampled each and everyone and all were of an eggceptional standard, when the CO commented of the soldiers he was quickly told by one of the cadets they're not soldioers they're sailors🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cadets attending the ship visit to HMS DEFENDER, will depart Baker St and Return to Baker Street after the visit.

There’s no place like it I have a lot of respect for Jim and the other adults who are there all the time for the young people to try all different life skills they are dedicated thank you for all yous do

User

It's a great way to learn news skills make friends and have fun. It also helps young adults gain confidence in learning leadership skills. I had a great time with them, it was the best way to keep me occupied with different water and specialisation courses. Staff are full of support always there.

User

It's a fun place to go and learn and all the staff are friendly and all the cadets.

I've know the CO of this unit for some considerable years and think he is one of the most dedicadet people in the sea cadets. His unit is to be envied and a jewel in the crown of the corps... The staff of the unit work tirelessly to support the commanding officer, they also need to be recognised and I'm pretty sure they are continually motivated by Jim.

User

Have been in the cadets for a few years and love every minute. Opportunities are endless and Commanding Officer goes out of the way to make things happen. The unit is by far the best in the country people are always commenting on our achievements and awards.
