Gretna Hall Hotel

Our daughter and partner married there a couple of weeks ago. Our room was lovely and view over the gardens at the front were nice too. Two of the other rooms (one at the back overlooking a bit of a mess)were very nice but our daughter and partners room was very dingy and dull. I asked her to change with us but she said no. Perhaps a little more thought could go into the planning of future arrangements of rooms that will go to the couple who are about to wed. Having said that our time there was good and staff very pleasant.

My daughter married here this weekend. Everything was very well organized and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Everyone had a lovely time. Recommended as as a venue.

Very clean and tidy bedrooms although there are some areas that need a little bit more sprucing up. Slept really well and the room I had was quiet which was lovely. Food was really good, buffet for breakfast; which was adequate but disappointing that as being in Scotland, there was not the choice of porage! Would come again without a doubt!

we booked a table for 4 people a week before the date we booked.
I was really looking forward to lovely T bone steak
When we got there they didnt have our booking but did give us a table.
we sat there for 15 minutes before they came for our order.
I ordered my T bone steak so did my sister
They came and told us that they only had one T bone steak
The back ground noise was a loud thump thump from a disco in the next room which gave my elderly Mum a bad headache.
WE were seated at 7,10pm and was still waiting for out first course at 8.10pm
We got up and left we were all very hungry and very disappointed .
The service there was terrible
We shall definitely not ever go back there again

We purchased a wowcher deal. Well worth the money what you would expect. Met a lovely young couple who won a comp at the wedding fayre there room was a suite it was amazing secret room and all.

Very friendly staff, nice food, great value, & well located. The place is being refurbished, & it really does need it. It should be great when it's finished

Just stopped by quickly for a cuppa and the staff were fantastic in the reception area. Very friendly and seemed to really enjoy helping people out

Attended for a friend's wedding. Hotel is currently undergoing many needed upgrades & decoration. Grounds are stunning & staff are extremely lovely, it's just a shame the hotel is do run down.

Room was OK, the TV reception was pretty dreadful and the shower was no better than a hot dripping tap. However, the evening meal was fab. I had a rib-eye steak that was really well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Also, the breakfast spread was superb. As good as any 5 star hotel. You can make up for any shortfall in my book by serving up a great breakfast.
