About Guest - Glasgow University Environmental Sustainability Team

An enthusiastic team working to catalyse improvements to the environmental practice of Glasgow University.

Guest - Glasgow University Environmental Sustainability Team Description

GUEST has seven branches that work together to promote environmental sustainability at Glasgow University. Currently our branches are working on:

Sustainable Transport - Check out our weekly BIKE HUB. A free DIY style bike repair service on campus.

Biodiversity - The GOOD Garden Project, a community garden in the heart of the University, the Wildlife Garden and supporting the newly formed Glasgow University Bee Keeping Society.

Energy Conservation - investigating and arranging energy audits across campus and engaging the university community on how to lower their carbon footprint through workshops and events.

Waste Reduction - Arranging regular events such as swap shops and surplus food distribution. Advising the University on policy changes and informing students on how to reduce their waste!

Sustainable Food - Working with Hospitality Services to increase sustainable procurement of food sold on campus. Supporting groups such as Food Sharing Glasgow and the Glasgow University Food Coop.

We also have Communications and Student Engagement branches that work to make our events, campaigns and ideas visible to the university community.

Any questions or if you are interested in getting involved in the project please contact the team at:
