About Guided Tours Of Scotland

I provide private day tours and multi-day road trip itineraries around Scotland for couples, families and small groups of friends by executive class 8 seat minivan. Tours are flexible, relaxed & informative and tailored to my clients wishes.

Guided Tours Of Scotland Description

Since its conception in 2009, Guided Tours of Scotland has become one of the most established private tours companies in Scotland. Having started with a six passenger MPV, I now operate an 8 passenger executive minivan and I have added a luggage trailer for groups with a large amount of baggage and /or golf clubs. I conduct all tours personally which ensures that customer service levels are maintained to the highest standard.

Smoo Cave, Durness is the product of a rare phenomenon in Scotland - in an area dominated by ancient metamorphic rock, there is a thin seam of limestone running along the North Coast which has been hollowed out here by the sea, as well as sink holes from the streams running off the land, creating these magnificent caverns. Smoo Cave has provided shelter to fisherman for thousands of years and was used by the Vikings as a boat yard for servicing and building their longships.

Thinking of booking a tour to Orkney in 2019? As well as Skara Brae there are literally dozens of historical sights to see there including; St Magnus viking cathedral, mysterious stone circles and amazing wildlife. For an extended adventure you could tie in a trip to Orkney with an island hopping tour to Shetland and / or a road trip around the famous North Coast 500. Best wishes for the new year and happy travels in 2019 to you all. This was the first Scottish sunset of the year, taken from Port Appin at the end of a beautiful winter's day walk.
