Met Garth yesterday @ the Festival after his show. He's an American actor who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosois in the 90's and went onto practicing/ teaching Iyengar yoga for people with MS. He initially ignored the neurological symptoms of MS which presented as intermittent numbness in his hands and feet and loss of coordination, muscle strength and tripping up. Through practicing Iyengar yoga he has managed to maintain a lot of his muscle strength and flexibility by supporting the weaker side of his body. He was very inspiring to listen to and watch him go through his yoga postures. He still has 2 performances left to go but hopes to be back next year.
