Halfords

I have never received such poor customer service in all my life in their bike department. The so called managed Ewan who looks about 10 was the worst. My son has a Carrera bike from there at a cost of £370 twice the gear meachanism has broke and twice they have blamed my son for laying it on the ground. One when you place a bike on its side in anyway either the handle bars or pedals stop the gear mechanism contacting the ground. I then put a complaint into the call centre but they just went by Ewan's say so. Speaking to the so called manager Ewan in Dundee was the most distressing experience I have ever received. I left the store due to him and his colleagues James laughing at me after making a fool of me in a very busy shop. My advice stayaway and buy your bikes else where.

Usually very good service - often you can get jobs done straight away - but the department seems to be kept on minimum staffing so you may have to wait some time for attention (or for the job to be completed, which is fair enough). The cycle people are very helpful, friendly and appear very knowledgeable. Only problem is the lift, which is a nightmare when you've got a large bike or whatever - and probably don't bother with Slime treatment for your tyres - it didn't work for me.

Despite several negative reviews, we had a very pleasing experience when we went to collect our bike. On the other hand, we were speaking only to the bike servicing staff and they were extremely nice and helpful.

brought a car seat and the guy fitted it quick showed me how to fit it so i could do it on my own.

Really poor customer service. Girl at checkout was the most sarcastic sales assistant I've had the misfortune of meeting! Rude, bleak, and her 'advice' was wrong as we found out when we went to another established company. I witnessed her behaving the same way to ither women too! I was left feeling wrong for asking the things i was, and the other man who was with her was clearly too busy trying to score brownie points with her thay he then felt the need to copy her terrible snotty mannerisms. The man who fits/assists with goods was fantastic...and I truly mean this...he is an asset to the store. Really won't be back if I can help it!

Big thanks to Susan for fixing the errors caused by a former member. Everything works as it should. Great to hear music again. Nothing was too much of a problem well done.

Why say on the website you can collect in 1 hour when it's not even in stock in the store? Useless.

Shocking customer service from start to finish. Cashier girl was unbelievably rude and didn't call to arrange a fitting. Refused my 2year old the use of their toilet!! Who does that?? Won't go back

Bought 2 kids bikes within the last month and on both bikes I've had to bring both back, to get the brake levers replaced.not to happy.
The fact that they were plastic they should not have broken so quickly. Halfords should not be selling bikes knowing that they could brake, then having to pay for replacement.
The last bike I bought from halfords was my son's bike before this one which the chain kept coming off. Took that in for adjustment which they kindly told my what to do but did not do in store for me .
Sorry but I will not be buying a bike from halfords again.
