Twix Mas break for my family and myself and was greeted with a very warm welcome from all the staff. Tasteful decor, all new and beautiful. Although the hotel was extremely busy the staff always had time for us . Recommended.

User

Stayed here for a 3 night stay and loved it. The room was very comfy and the breakfast was excellent in the morning with plenty of variety both cooked and cold...would definitely stay again.

User

Stayed 2 night. Clean comfy rooms and lovely breakfast. I would advise people to get up early as after 9am no tables left.

Staff were very friendly and an easy walk into city centre 20 min.

Only little comment on the minus side was the temp in our room. Too hot. Panel said 18° and cool but we just couldn't sleep and no window to open. Even that we would stay there again.

User

Stayed 1 night and would definitely stay there again. Clean comfy rooms and lovely breakfast. Staff were very friendly and an easy walk into city centre (15 min ) . Helped us find alternative parking nearby at a reduced rate ,their car park was full.

User

Overnight stay..lovely friendly helpful staff.

Great room & breakfast was first class.

I do however think that customers should be better informed about your parking procedures as they really should be advised to come to the hotel first.

There is also no access to the parking from the hotel......hopefully this could be looked at .

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I won a Facebook competition that the hotel was running for an over night stay so decided to use it to treat my mum to a weekend away in Edinburgh to celebrate her birthday. The hotel was lovely and well presented and not too far from where we needed to be. We were given a room on the 4th floor and although it didn’t have the best of views I really couldn’t fault the room. The beds were nice and comfy and the shower was lovely, we even had a complementary bottle of processo in our room on arrival. The room came with breakfast included which had a good selection of food on offer. The only thing that let the hotel down for me was parking i was told the wrong direction to the car park by reception staff which was a little frustrating when trying to find it in a city I wasn’t familiar with however when I returned after finally finding the car park the manager who booked us in was very apologetic about it and couldn’t do enough for us, thank you again for running the Facebook competition allowing us to have a lovely weekend in Edinburgh

User

Great hotel, amazing breakfast, and the staff went above and beyond. Will definitely be back when we next visit Edinburgh.

User

Fantastic hotel. Staff at check in were great very friendly. Room on 5th floor was amazing, beautiful queen size bed, beautiful ensuite too. For the price of £99 for one night it was great value for money and you get a free cooked buffet breakfast. Worth the money, both myself and partner will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely stay.

User

Could not find any fault with hotel great price for a city hotel room nice and clean staff extremely helpful and a good free breakfast will definitely use this hotel next time we are in Edinburgh

User

Both staff and hotel are brilliant. Amazing breakfast. Would highly recommend

User

Very friendly staff Agata on reception and the one who looked like the GM or ops manager didnt ask his name really nice guy though hotel been open a week so still a progress. about a 20/30 minutes walk to the royal mile or less if you know short cuts. No problems with check in / out nice rooms and breakfast good. My daughter whos birthday it was loved the waffle maker. We will be back for sure !

User

Stayed here for one night the room was lovely comfy bed nice clean bathroom with great toiletries. Breakfast was good but very busy at certain times. Good location for Princes Street about 20 min from train station & about 30mins from Edinburgh Playhouse. Good value for money would definitely stay here again.

User

Room was excellent and as expected from Hilton standards

4* given due to minor lapses which I'm sure will be due to the fact that it is a new hotel.

Criticisms:

Reception staff multi tasking: taking telephone calls from room guests and general enquiries.

This lead to several interruptions during my check in resulting in a disrupted and lengthy process - this needs to be streamlined.

House keeping - did not restock the coffee/milk in the room each day.

I was advised to park in an off site car park - my ticket was validated for an agreed parking rate by the hotel staff. This resulted in my ticket being hole punched at departure and therefore invalid when I inserted it into the park payment machine !

Again a lengthy process induced in attempting to exit the car park via intercom with the car park staff

Good points -

Excellent location

Breakfast staff - well presented attentive and efficient at their jobs with great personalities!! (And very brave considering I'd had no coffee )

Breakfast - not the best hot breakfast I've ever had but I didn't expect great things due to the buffet style dining.

Great choice for the cold items though which I had the next morning.

Cleanliness - excellent

Comfort - excellent

Environment - excellent

Bed/pillows/duvet - excellent !!! I'd give 10*

User

Really enjoyed our stay, very nice comfortable room. Not far to walk into the centre of Edinburgh. Good breakfast, enjoyed the waffles! Excellent value for money. Only little comment on the minus side was the coffee....not very strong. We would definitely stay here again.

User

On the whole not a bad hotel, rooms are clean, relatively spacious and warm (maybe a little too warm) only downsides were despite ringing ahead and requesting a cot it took three visits to reception to finally sort, and breakfast...the food was plentiful and hot which is rare for a buffet but you literally have to fight your way around and there is only two high chairs available by the looks of things. Even so we would stay again

User

I am currently staying in Room 117. A very good hotel, cooperative staff and very comfortable rooms. Only awkward thing i felt is no presence of complimentary water bottles in the rooms and we have been asked to take water to drink from the washroom tap. No matter how clean is the washroom but i just cannot take water from the washroom tap...

User

Booked for one night, had to park off site as hotel only has parking for 20. No biscuits with tea/coffee in room. Brealfast was a rugby scrum, would advise people to get up early as queues were massive and no tables left. All in all a comfortable hotel but would say it was over priced for what you get and not as good as other Hilton hotels i have stayed at.

User

Were told that we could possibly check in early but couldn’t, we were told we would be contacted once our room was available after a very early flight but we weren’t. Had to walk around Edinburgh from 8.30-3pm. Our room was freezing and the blankets were paper thin. The room was lovely and clean however, it was meant to be a queen room but clearly wasn’t as the bed wasn’t much bigger than a double. The breakfast area was manic with no structure and had a very limited number of tables. The hotel is situated in an ok area and bout a 20min walk into the town itself. Not great for a hotel that has Hilton in the name.

User

Not what a Hilton should be, even if supposedly budget range. Staff at reception aren’t trained - the receptionist actually said “I don’t do Reception, I’m not even sure how to work the computer, I can’t cut your key” - the bar staff offered me a drink with lipstick on it, then simply poured it into another glass. No recognition for Hilton card carriers. So much for the 100% guarantee, they can’t even get the basics right.
