Hanover Healthfoods is a privately owned, independent, specialist health store in the centre of Edinburgh. We were established in 1904 making us probably the oldest surviving health food store in the English-speaking world! Although a small store we have a very good range which has been specially selected and refined over the years. Our principle speciality are nutrition and herbal remedies but this is couched in a broader context of dietary and lifestyle advice. Collectively the individuals in the store have over 70 years experience in the field which makes us pretty expert at what we do best which is advising customers on their health needs, face to face. We are a business that likes to co-operate with our competition and we have good relationships with all of them. What goes around, comes around! We are currently involved in two projects to develop the business. These are our massively successful Healthy Lifestyle Events, the third of which took place at the Merchants' Hall in March 2013 and the Better At Work collaboration with Griffen Fitness and Optimal Health Chiropractic. The aim of the latter is to use mutual connections to establish regular attendance at workplaces around Edinburgh and the Lothians to promote occupational and personal health and to create new client relationships.
