Preparations well under way in Ancaster Arms for tomorrow's sell out event in collaboration with Beetroot and Chocolate , if you do have a ticket wee reminder bar is cash only this time. We hope to announce some more events soon so more can enjoy The Annie again after 7 year break.

Market in St Kessog square, Local producers Wild Hearth Bakery, Strathearn Cheese, Highland Coffees, Tomnaha, David Comrie and Sons and Bev Tea with Beetroot and Chocolate , Bonnie Mountain Landrover, Hansen's Kitchen along with other local friends

A Caribbean collaboration between Beetroot & Chocolate and Hansen's Kitchen, taking some great local ingredients and spicing them up a little and served with a selection of great Scottish rums now available & a side of tunes

Last orders at Cream o' the Croft on Sunday past, it was another spectacular Muckmedden weekend. While your pondering what to do this weekend happy let you know we now have the popular Black Isle Brewery back on our shelves

Tortilla with Strathearn Cheese Co. Wee Comrie and Tomnah'a Market Garden spinach, we just tried - it's delicious come and get a slice before we finish it!

We are seeing interest in the return of Wee Isle Dairy milk, would you like to have a litre or 2 of delicious milk on standing order every Thursday? Standing orders are also discounted by 10% so £1.80 per litre, the full flavour remains through low temp pasteurisation and it's also unhomogenised. If you bring the glass bottle back we will send on to the dairy. Please let us know if you are also interested.

With such a short growing season we’re all about Asparagus today. This beauty of a batch was delivered from Angus this morning. We’re currently rustling up some Asparagus and Taleggio Tarts, but it’s equally tasty when simply grilled with a splash of olive oil and sea salt. The empire biscuits every time... was persuaded to try the Katy Rodgers crème fraîche which is to die for.. :)

Just finished our desserts that we bought today..... The lady who served me was lovely and recommended the chocolate bread and butter pudding which was delish as were the brownie and empire biscuit! Would definitely come back, thank you!

I had the raspberry & coconut slice it was delicious, we also had lunch there the quiche was so yummy best I've ever,thanks to Jenny my sister in law who recommended it well worth a visit,

Food heaven! Feast your eyes on the generous portions of take out food. Stay away dieters unless your resolve is mammoth. The shop is exciting and full of ideas, you can get a snack and a coffee ground freshly on the premises. Phew. I need a lie down......

Discovered Hansen's by luck...lovely smooth coffee and a real home made Empire biscuit - real jam, biscuit and icing like your mum would make!

We took away a quiche for dinner...to die for! Cheese and leek where every mouthful was bursting with flavour.

I wish it was closer so I could work my way through the menu!
