Happiee Daze - Online Petition

Happiee Daze is a family run cafe for the community in Marchmont and all the passers by. We provide great food at reasonable prices. Happiee Daze has been trading for almost on year, our current location was leased under offer as a cafe; we saught advice from Edinburgh City Council and Business Gateway in relation to what equipment we are able to have in order to provide the services we offer under our current license. We have since been told that the advice given and the lease title are irrelevant. As a result we should rmove all catering ancillaries, grills, oven and hob, which wold leave us one microwave. We have also ben asked to remove all tables but one. In addition the cafe should be changed into a retail shop. We were happy to compromise by asking to retain just one grill to still be able to provide wraps, and panini sandwiches, core offerings for any cafe, but was flatly refused. We believe that to date, our customers have enjoyed our service in particular, local children have a place to go where they feel welcome and have acces to healthier choices. We want to continue but feel this dramatic unexpected change will damage our business. Please support us to be able to continue to support you. Thank you.
