We went on the Isle of Skye tour back on October 7th 2017 and it was fantastic! Our guide John was knowledgeable and the scenery was beautiful! I would highly recommend this tour!

User

We traveled to Isle of Skye with tour guide John Anderson on 13 May and had the BEST time! John knows so much Scottish history. He was very enjoyable to listen to and very patient with us and our sometimes crazy questions. Excellent driver and guide. 100% recommend this tour agency.

We took the 1 day Outlander tour. We got our tour guide who was named Andrea, and she was not only lovely but smart as a whip. No question we had went unanswered. She related to the Outlander books, the TV series(and filming locations), and any history involved with the time period. It rained a bit, but even then, we were so wrapped up in her storytelling, it didnt matter. I highly recommend!

We spent the day on a private tour visiting whiskey distilleries and a brewery . We finished up at Kerb Cairn. Cameron our tour good was friendly , funny and very informative. I would highly recommend this company the bus was clean and warm. We will be recommending this tour to all our Aussie friends.

We had such an amazing trip with our guide. He was knowledgeable and created such a fun friendly atmosphere on his tour!!! Thank you again for showing us your beautiful country.

User

We had an amazing time on our Loch Ness/Culloden tour today and TJ was the best tour guide! Thank you for making this day so special!

Unsure of whether or not my mom and I would travel to Skye it only took a quick conversation with Cameron to see that this was going to be a truly unique and once in a lifetime tour, and the company lived up to that expectation.

Soon after meeting Cameron we were on the road, learning about Scotland, laughing at his comedy, and enjoying the deeper conversations about life. Happy Tours and Cameron were able to bring this amazingly unique experience because of the small size of their tour groups matched with great personalities behind the tour guides.

I have traveled to 20+ countries and this was hands down the best tour I have been on. My mom and I will never forget the day we spent with Cameron and touring the sites. What makes everything special about your travels is the people you meet and spend time with. Cameron and Andrea (another amazing guide we were able to spend time with that day) made that day special.

Thank you for the great memories! Next time we are in Scotland we will book again.

Cheers,

Graham

Truly incredible!! If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would. I had an incredible time traveling to the Isle of Skye. Andrea the guide for the day knew loads about the history and of the highlands along with some great stories. After the tour while I was Inverness they showed me around the best sites, along with arranging the Outlander tour. Would highly recommend the team. Can't wait to return to Scotland and go on their other tours.

Traveled to Isle of Skye today with Raymond. He was an outstanding driver and guide. He was so knowledgeable and welcoming. He also recommended Rocpool for dinner which was amazing. Raymond made what would have been a good tour alone a simply great tour.

The Glen Mhor Hotel in Inverness,Scotland, located on the River Ness, referred us to Cameron and his talented crew! We had the time of our life with John for a day, with Roger for a day and Andrea for two days. We were searching our family's roots in the Highlands and all three knew everything about the clans, the politics, the distilleries, and lots more. We traveled along Loch Ness and out to the Isle of Skye, to Kilt Rock, walked the Culloden Battlefield, visited special out of the way sites (Clootie Well!) not even known to many Scots! Medieval history of the relationship between the clans, religion and monarchy was at the forefront. We found our family castle because of Andrea's expert research and knowledge! Happy Tours is the only tour that you should consider! A special thanks to Cameron and crew!

Our time spent with Happy Tours was absolutely the highlight of our recent trip to England and Scotland. We found this excellent company through Rick Steves' most recent UK guidebook, and we feel like we won the lottery.

Due to schedule constraints, we weren't able to take part in one of the regularly scheduled Outlander tours so we chose to book two days of private touring instead. This was easily the best investment we made in our entire 2 week vacation.

For our first day, John arrived to pick us up (wearing a kilt, as advertised) and took us on a spectacular tour of all of the places I'd been reading about as part of my Outlander obsession. He did an amazing job of of acknowledging my fangirlhood while keeping the rest of my family engaged and interested. We were particularly impressed by how he was able to engage our 13yr-old daughter by putting her into situations in history and having her make decisions about what she'd have done. Not only did this keep her actively engaged and thoroughly intrigued by the history, but my husband and I learned an incredible amount as well. John has worked at the Culloden Battlefield interpretive center, so he was an absolutely amazing guide on our visit there. And, I have to admit it was a thrill to arrive and see our guide on the video screens at the center as we were buying our tickets.

We weren't sure how a second day of touring could possibly be better, and then we met Andrea. Not only does she know the area inside and out, but she is a scholar and expert on everything we were off to see that day. It was spectacular to tour Urquhart Castle with her, and that was just the start. We particularly loved the way she had an itinerary and was able to tweak it to fit our interests and time constraints. She even had one surprise for us at the end of the day which left us all so enamored that I think we'll have to return!

Looking back, our whole family is surprised that we packed so much into those two days without feeling rushed. I know we couldn't have begun to see so much on our own, and we certainly wouldn't have had the great historical and present-day perspective to understand what we saw. We signed on for a tour, and came away with a world-class experience that we never could have imagined.

Many thanks to our friends at Happy Tours for the very best part of a wonderful trip. We'll be back.

Me and my wife went from Brazil to Inverness and did two tours with Happy Tours. The first was to Isle of Skye guided by John and the second was a whisky tour to Speyside region with Andrea. I can only say about the great experience that we had on both! John and Andrea were amazing guides, they know so much about the Highlands culture and places! They are kind and provide tourists with lots of information! I highly recommend the agency to all Brazilians and other travellers across the world!

Just returned from Scotland. Our group of 6 was just going to the airport to begin a river cruise. At 6 am the cruise was cancelled. We called each other and decided to go anyway. The best part was our hotel in Inverness gave us happy tours phone number and the owner came down to the hotel and boom we went on a wonderful adventure with them. Several actually. I Would highly recommend this tour company. We went with them in a van with just us and saw many exciting and wonderful things. Cameron is the owner and has been mentioned in Rick Steve's books. Thank you!

John was by far the best thing that could have happened to us. Both of our tours were about to be cancelled due to snow but he (and Cameron) made it work and went above and beyond. Our experiences were phenomenal and I would not trade them for the world. I wish there was a John on every single tour I took world wide. I'm so glad I booked with happy tours and will recommend them with 100% certainty to anyone who will listen.

I took the “Highlander Loch Ness and Culloden battlefield from Inverness tour” and it was truly wonderful! Our tour guide John Anderson did such a fabulous job taking us around Inverness to all the important sites and views! We even stopped at some extra places he thought we should see, and many opportunities for photographs! He was very knowledgeable about the history and local folklore which made it all the more interesting! The ride itself was comfortable and and John had complimentary water bottles on board for us! We had a lovely group of people on our guide, John did a lovely introduction so that we all felt comfortable! I was amazed at how much we saw it one day, and although there were a lot of sites, it was very relaxed and we weren’t rushed! It was very enjoyable. I will never forget the experience. Thank you John and Happy Tours!

Happy Tours Rock! A great small tour company, we had 7 people on the Skye tour with Andrea as our Tour Guide, much better than those big 50 seater coaches. As we were a small group she was able to get to know us and vice versa. Andrea was able to adapt the tour as needed this enabled us see and do extra stuff including Skye Pies for lunch (you have got to try those pies) I had such a great day I signed up for the Local tour the next day which was even better, Andrea adapted this for us to ensure we had the best day and I sure did! I would highly recommend Happy Tours.

Had an exceptional day out with John McGillivray Coleman exploring the Isle of Sky, posing or jumping for photos, getting selfies with highland cattle, and enjoying a wee dram of whisky along the way! Very informative and a great teller of tales! And we were the first Aussie for the season on John's tour Loved it!!
