I am just starting out setting up my first solo venture (very exciting & very scary at the same time). This is a friendly local dog walking and small animal business, offering bespoke services.

Growing up in a crofting community dogs, cats & ponies were part of my home life from an early age. Moving firstly to Edinburgh I missed daily contact with animals. I was that pesky person asking if I could pet your dog.
Volunteering at a Riding for Disabled group helped in some way to ease this. Becoming a flat owner meant I was able to reacquaint myself with cats again - Breagha and Kieran - they lived long and happy lifes.
Barney, my first ever horse (he was meant to be a Highland Pony! ) came into my life, quickly followed by my lovely husband who had never had pets before.
Domino our little beagle has challenged us and I am constantly learning from him and with him.
Working in various roles within Financial Services for over fifteen years gave me a great grounding in customer service along with essential admin skills.
Life has offered opportunities to allow my passion for all things canine to become a step closer. Attending Oatridge College to study & attain a HND Animal Care qualification then led to an immersion in all things dogs with seven years plus at an Edinburgh Dog Day Care.
The next step this year was to pull everything all together: my passion; my practical experience; Insurance; Disclosure; Canine First Aid; my learning from various dog seminars and courses (ongoing CPD); and set out to assist other people look after their dogs.
