I deliberately didn't post a picture perfect picture of Jamie but Instead one that simply summed up this kind beautiful young man, ( picking up one of his 4 sisters and having fun).
Jamie is 15yrs and one of life's most wonderful gifts, for nearly 2yrs now, every weekend he puts off going out with friends and gives his time to show kids around farm. He never ever asks for anything in return and for hr after hr he gives free farm tours , he works with children and adults fr...om every walk of life , he show compassion for those with special needs, those living with dementia, those who need a bit of animal therapy or simply those just interested in seeing how a farm life works. He wont take a penny of me ( even if I try and give him a wage). He also works every day in farm and his kindness for animals comes naturally and is a gift.
Just want to thank my son Jamie for always putting me, family, animal, farm and visitors before himself ...he has given so many kids an opportunity to have a taste of farming life , he has made so many kids happy and smile , I really cant thank him enough and Jamie you make me proud with every breath you take ..thank you xxx

Harris Farm Shop, traditional working farm and wee tiny farm shop. Sunday open 10-3pm.
Bon accord taste test today- great with gin 😋
Its a day for the BBQ and we have the most beautiful lovely local beef. Also available hand made rolls and bread from Battlefield Bakery.... Fresh free range chicken breasts , chicken burgers, rodeo cheese and chilli burgers, pure steak burgers, jalapeño burgers, goat burgers , mutton burgers and links. Those who fancy a easy Sunday supper we still have a few haggis stacks available.
Ribeyes are marbled and full of flavour I recommend medium rare, 3/4 minutes each side then rest season and serve .,
Flat iron cook on BBQ medium rare about 3/4mins each side, rest season and slice. Skirt- marinate and quick heat on bbq 3 minutes rest and slice .
Hanger steak, sear all around wrap in foil for a couple of minutes on bbq, then leave to rest season and cut in medallions ( if you want well done flash medallions on bbq for a couple of minutes)
Sirloin cook how you usually do in doors.
Tomahawk- Pre-heat the BBQ to hot. Sear the steak on all sides, including the thick edge. Lower the temperature to medium, close the hood and cook for 15 minutes.
Thank you to Stewart and Rita for this lamb lovely review and pictures 😘

Door closed for weekend, a lot of farm tours and a lot of lovely lovely people at our wee working farm. Time for a drink and by-eck this is nice, we are proud to continue our relationship with Bon-accord, it’s a wonderful Scottish story and now rebranded and made with all natural ingredients and flavours it’s a premium and very Scottish drink. For gin and vodka lovers the tonic is recommended by a huge number of Scottish distilleries including our local McLean’s Gin. The rh...ubarb is stunning with ice cold vodka and the salted grapefruit with a fresh gin. For non drinkers such as my self ...😬😜....they are just lovely on there own. It’s a small family company that have really produced a beautiful product.
Easter- we will have native lamb joints , Gammon and goat joints. Have a great week and see you all next weekend , fingers crossed the horses foal and goats kid at a sensible hr 🙏😊

We loved the whole experience getting to see the animals and the processes being explained by our tour guide Jamie! Boris the pig was too big to fit in my handbag so couldnt steal him but will be back to visit again soon! Bought mostly gammon products but am presently cooking my GF sausages and tattie scones. Stupidly excited about these Next will be goat curry! If it works we may even post a pic up. Thanks Harris Farm Meats we had a thoroughly pleasant visit. Especially our autistic son. The kids & I loved our wee trip to Harris Farm Meats this morning so as Reece could meet piglet Reece. They got to help lay the hay for the animals & feed them. Then little Reece was very noisy and didn't like being away from his Mummy. Thank you so much to Ruth for showing us around. The bacon sandwiches were excellent when we got home too!! Reece said it was the best day of his life!
