Wow. Completely blown away after what must of been the most divine lunch experience of my life. A bold statement, but completely fitting! I visited on a Wednesday afternoon... a scorching day in this rare Scottish heat wave so we decided on outdoor dining. Now I’ve always swore by not trusting anyone that eats a chippy with cutlery, but this is a glamorised restaurant and with a magnificent view (that’s not just the staff�). Over looking the forth with all three bridges, child friendly, dog friendly. The customer service was astounding, staff truly went out their way to make this a memorable experience. I will definitely be returning on a regular basis, what a fantastic day xxxx COULDN’T RATE IT ANY HIGHER

The food was truly superb, the portions larger than I could even finish , all staff were so caring and attentive which made a huge impact on our time there (a huge thank you for the service from the manager Jordan who was extremely bubbly, went that extra mile & who has a great taste in shirts). Up there with one of the best lunches I’ve had in years! I’m really baffled as to why there’s so many 1 star reviews, I couldn’t fault them in any aspect what so ever. So excited to return again!!!

Booked the conference room for a private party.

Lovely big room with cosy modern decor.

Great for kids, lots of room and stunning views.

Above and beyond service. Excellent food.

Sunday alfresco dinner in the sun, beautiful views super large decked area. The shared started platter OMG could have done 4 but we did manage to eat the lot. Mains very nice and all the food and cocktails coming out the doors looked delightful. Had a relaxing time watching the world go by.

After a disastrous last visit we decided to give this place another try, we were being treated by a friend of ours and our party consisted of three adults and a wee dog called Chico

We were greeted by a really friendly member of staff who pointed out we would have to sit in the lounge to the left of the building, no hardship at all as we had the room to ourselves and our table afforded us a great view over the bridges.

The waiter sat us down and took our drinks order which included Chico’s water bowl.

Our drinks arrived quickly and the waitress came to take our food order, now one of our party requires her meal to be gluten free and the waitress took time to go over what they could do to make her a tasty meal, she opted for grilled chicken with potatoes and peas ( a nice touch was only charging for a chicken burger despite the extra effort taken)

I chose the fresh mussels in shallots white wine and cream followed by a large haddock with chips and mushy peas.

A great choice the mussels were well but not over cooked and remained plumptious the sauce was really well balanced and tasty.

The chips that accompanied the haddock could have been thicker and less coloured but tasty none the less.

My wife opted for fried Brie with cranberry sauce with a lovely walnut and pear salad, she cleared the plate in no time at all.

This was followed by grilled sea bass with Greek feta salad delicious (but perhaps less olives in the future)

All and all we had a really enjoyable meal with superb fast courteous and friendly service.

I am really glad we gave this place a second chance and urge past customers to perhaps do the same as it has improved beyond recognition, it would be nice to see the place fuller I am sure once people experience the ambience and good food on offer the positive feedback will follow.

The view is great, The Fish and Chips were meh. We ordered a side order of bread and butter the bread was very low quality and wasnt even fresh... won't be back. Disappointing experience.

Where do I even start! Far too much to type but incredibly disappointed with our experience here last night. Very rude staff and appalling service. Was argued with by the waitress AND the manager. Will never eat there again. Kids burgers were burnt too. AVOID!

We were told our order would take 20 min but almost took 1 hour. When the food arrived I was offered a complimentary as an apology but not what I was drinking it had to be something else. The food was bland and the chips were undercooked. Won't be be back and wouldn't recommend.

We arrived yesterday to enjoy a lovely meal outside while the weather was still nice. Started off alright we had table service and ordered our drinks and meals. While we were waiting we still had no cutlery on the table at all. Our drinks then came and we asked for cutlery for the starters. The starters then arrived and still no cutlery to be seen to as asked again. Waited 20 mins to still have no cutlery so we ended up eating with out fingers. We ordered the chicken skewers to begin with only to bite into them to find them still raw on the inside. We asked the waiter and they took the meal away to speak with the chef. The waiter then came back to “assure us” that the chicken was not under cooked as they already buy it in cooked and they then cook it again!� also to find out the skewers we were eating to be processed and not fresh! This then put us off straight away. We then never got asked if we wanted anything else for the inconvenience and just left us to it. After this we waiting for the mains still trying to be optimistic that it was just 1 fault. We then finally got our main meals but the table still had not been cleared from the starters and there was no space on the table for anymore plates. I myself had ordered scampi. Everything seemed fine until I noticed 1 piece of the scampi was battered and not breaded like the rest of them. I then bite into this battered piece to find it wasn’t scampi! That it was chicken! The processed chicken that was were told before if all they have!� i didn’t even bother telling the waiters as I knew there would be some excuse behind it. I find it apauling that chicken and fish is cooked in the same fryer. After this it completely put myself and the rest of the family off. Once the mains were finished by everyone else we asked for the bill 3 times and waiting for around 40 minutes to only have to go in and pay it ourselves at the bar.



I would not recommend this place to anyone passing and I will not go back unless they change their service manners also. Terrible service.

Visited on Sunday 27th May for the first and last time. No problem with the staff or the service but the food OMG where to start. £10.99 for regular fish and chips no problem with price if that is what I had been served. The portion was pitiful with a few chips and a very small piece of frozen fish. My husband ordered Jumbo sausage and we overheard the waitress saying they had ran out but they would just serve kids sausage instead. And that is exactly what he got another miserly portion of chips and kids sausage with no explanation. I feel that we where totally Ripped Off !!!!!

This was my second visit to this restaurant after a terrible experience last time I thought it would have to be better. I was wrong. There is a choice or regular, large and legendary fish and chips. I chose the large As I was quite hungry and I remembered from last time the portion was very mean. It was 12.99 so you expect a dish that will satisfy. No the fish was small and lay on top of 14 chips half of which were the type you would leave on your plate at the end!



My advise would be to never go there as it is a total rip off and you will leave hungry and if you are like me annoyed that you didn’t complain.

The chips where dry the fish was small and dry not great would have been better going to the local chip shop. Also the white wine taste as if it had been watered down. Not impressed won’t be back shame a local restraunt

Shocking service. My partner sat at a table outside whilst I went to get us a drink each inside, stood for 10 mins at the bar without being acknowledged by anyone (not even a “hi I’ll be there in 5”, nothing). To then be joined by my partner at the bar as a member of staff had come to the table he was sitting at and told him he had to move as the table shouldn’t have been outside. Spoke to a manager and came out to find that the table hadn’t been moved but another customer was now sitting at the table getting served! Came along to another restaurant and was seated and served within 10 minutes with fantastic service and staff. Will not be back not be back to this place! 1st July @ 18.30

Service really not up to scratch. Ignored for the longest time then when we approached the server were told to order inside where we were then told that they don't serve food in the area we were in. No signs to indicate this. Tables left cluttered. The view is lovely

Really disappointed with our experience. 4 adults arrived yesterday at 5pm. Found a seat with a lovely view, I was unsure if it was table service as no one approached us. Found a waitress and asked for a menu and how we go about ordering. I was politely told she would be over to take our drinks and food order in a minute. No one appeared so thought I will just go to the bar and order no big deal. I was greeted by a team member (I think management) who reluctantly took my drinks order but refused my food order and said the waiter/ waitress will be with u when then can to take your order. I approached another team member outside to ask if I could place my food order I was again told to sit down someone will be with you. It’s now 5.45 and we still only have drinks and no food on order. Our food order got taken and the dish 2 of us requested was not a available so we picked something else. Its now 6.45 and a staff member told us the kitchen has lost our order and it would be a further wait of round 20 mins could he get us a drink. Over 2 hours for fish and chips. So we decided at this point thanks but no thanks and left. No one seem to be running the place and form what management I did see was not a good example for staff to follow. At least 3 tables I seen got up and left. Money walking out your doors and To the chippy we went.

If you like to wait an age for your food, deal with rude argumentative waitresses and management and then eat burnt food then this is the place for you!

I have ate in nearly every country in the world but this place as absolutely the worst. The staff have no manners what so ever, the food is way over priced for what you get. The chef must have came from a back street cafe in soho. I would never ever recommend this place. Not even to a starving dog. #disgustingattitudedstaff

Customer Service Appalling -

We arrived today with the view to sitting outside on the sun with our pram. We asked one of the male waiters where we could sit and he said “any of the tables outside is every man for themselves so sit wherever and order inside”. We sat at table 211 and after a few minutes deliberating over the menu proceeded to order inside. When I arrived at the bar to order I was told that the table we were sitting at was for “drinks and cigarettes only, not food service”. By this point (unbeknown to us) all of the ‘outdoor food service’ tables were full although when we arrived some were free but as we had a baby and a pram we opted for a more shaded area to sit. I asked for a table inside, there were multiple unoccupied, and was told that they were fully booked and could not accommodate us. We told the female waitress we would leave it today. The male waiter who served us (stood within 2 feet of the conversation) asked the waitress why we were leaving and she told him to which he said “they CHOSE to sit there”. I brought it to their attention that we didn’t choose to sit at 211, we were told we could sit wherever we wanted and at no point were we told there was no food service in this area. Well done guys, great customer service- we went to the Hawes Inn instead which was excellent� it was our first visit to Harry Ramsdens here and certainly won’t return.
