Recently spent a week staying in one of the huts on St.Bees beach, which 50 years ago was my summer playground.



I remember this shop so vividly, no cafe then. Wooden floor boards under sandy feet whilst we queued for our rhubarb rock and toffee cups, ice lollys and crisps. Great memories.



Today the shop has expanded to include a seaside cafe, that was doing a roaring trade on each of our visits. The homemade soup was amazing, stuck to your ribs, as my nanna used to say. The cakes delicious and of course the extended range of Hartleys ice cream (when I was a kid there was only vanilla). It's super clean and service is speedy and friendly. The price is insanely reasonable.

Lovely views whilst tucking into the delicious food. very reasonably priced. I love it here. We come up regularly from The Midlands and always visit.

Lovely place, friendly staff. lovely bacon sandwich, and beautiful homemade cake, will definitely return.

Lovely atmosphere, great views of the beach. The food was lush and so was the guy who served it x

Great food clean comfy cafe. I asked for a toasted sandwich filling not in the menu. No problem. The server didn't even bat an eyelid. Great view of the beach without being blown away.

Excellent food.. The steak slab pie was to die for !! Highly recommended

Been here loads of times ..always busy but well staffed so no long waits.. food great but the views are spectacular .. will be coming back again and again

Been coming here for years. Came as a child when just a shop now the tea room. Lovely friendly staff the meals are fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Beautiful sea view and I love the beach- hut theme on the table cloth,s and net curtains.

Beautiful afternoon tea today for 4 ! Would definitely recommend and we will be going back x

Apart from the fact Google thinks it is a different country to where it really is! There is nothing to fault. Service was lovely, location beautiful and food exactly what you would expect from a Tea Rooms / Cafe. Not Egon Ronay, but very good at very good prices.

Always nice coming here. Can be busy when the weather is fine and kids are off school but even then the service is always fast, you're never waiting long for your order.



Has several large windows that offer lovely views of St Bees Head, the beach and across the Solway.



Would recommend a visit.

Absolutely brilliant food excellent service very good and they will help you with with all your menu choices. Will be there again this summer
