"Harvester, Dunfermline 5* Food 5* Service offering great food and a healthy portion of banter!" would recommend.

Service today from Michelle was impeccable, such a lovely woman with a positive attitude towards her job, and a passion for the food served at this establishment.

Informing us of great money saving deals and discounts for future dining experiences.

This was a wee lunch for my sister and her 21st birthday, an opportunity for us to spend quality time with each other.

I had the Nachos Starter and my sister had the potato skins, we both were a bit disappointed with the starters as i found the nachos a bit stale, and my sister's potato skins were over cooked and crispy, maybe left on the hot plate in the kitchen for a wee bit too long, we still ate them, and enjoyed them.

The main was heavenly divine —Top Notch! BBQ Pulled Pork with Monterrey Jack Cheese, sister had steamed veg and chips, I opted for the free substitute of Golden Rice and Beans, the golden rice and beans was a little dry so I offered a constructive critique to Michelle that the chef should put an olive oil drizzle over the rice and beans to give a more moist texture. The steamed veg didn't meet our standards unfortunately, I don't know if they use steam bags for quickness, however that was the flavour and texture we had from these vegetables.

Dessert, My sister had the Caramel Chocolate Pretzel Cheesecake which she devoured with no complaints, and I opted for a Sticky Toffee Pudding, custard and ice cream, this is my choice of dessert regardless where I eat, and I have a competition going to find the best sticky toffee pudding, Harvester Dunfermline certainly is up there amongst the top three best STP I've tasted.

Throughout the meal, Michelle showed great product knowledge and also offered amazing choices of foods to eat.

First class service, from a first class Lass, great bubbly nature and full of beans.

*note to management, Michelle is being wasted in floor service and certainly offers more to the company than what meets the eye. Worthy for a promotion.*

We visited on Friday night with the family the staff that were working very friendly and polite. The main meals were good as we all enjoyed what we had ordered from the Christmas menu. There was a couple off thing that they didn’t have that was ordered but that can happen where ever you go to eat. Over all we had a good visit

User

Very nice for a 'chain' restaurant. Menu was probably the same as other Harvester's although the place was relatively quiet I think we could have been placed at a table away from other diners, more spread out as it was a bit cramped between our table and the one next to us.

User

Service was slow but there was only one member of staff serving a handful of tables! Waited 20 minutes to place an order or drinks! Food was served quickly but the veg was cold and undercooked and the gravy was like dirty water. Don’t think we will rush back!

User

Went for mother’s day lunch with family seats where all stained starters came and plonked in middle of table on a tray not served to us had to ask for new cutlery plonked on table dirty dishes left to long to be removed food well what can I see won’t be back

User

It was okay. The food wasn't that yahoo - not much variety The waitress taking our orders spent most of the time with her head in the handheld device - not her fault but it all felt too technical and lacked a lot of the customer service feel. When her attention wasn't stuck in the device she was lovely, it was just a shame that this was 75% of the time. Then the guy who brought the starters just dumped the tray on the table, said 'starters' then walked off.

We were also positioned right next to a radiator and one of my children's chairs was right up against a pillar - not great planning but thankfully she is skinny.

Their own sauces were lovely though.

Because of all this I refused to leave a tip, something I liked to do even though it isn't big in this country.

I probably wouldn't go to a Harvester again but at least I can say I have experienced it.

User

I won't be back to this place, worst meal I've ever had....!!! Potato skins were deep fried and soon hard I couldn't get my knife through them...ordered burgers and chips for the kids and even they weren't eaten Bec the buns and burgers were so hard they couldn't!! Oh and only 8 chips on 1 off the kids plates...then too top it off the kids wanted ice cream....whoa and behold the ice cream machine was broken!!! Worst £45 I've ever spent would have been better taking them too McDonald's!!!!

User

Went for supper tonight and what a disappointment. Salad bar should be called sloppy bar. It was mixed up slops in the almost empty bowls. After ten mins they Took our drinks order and returned a further ten minutes for our order and forgot the drinks. I had cod and chips with mushy peas and the fish batter was all gooey inside. Mrs had a piece of chicken with two dried up bits of broccoli. I told the waitress who said sorry and that was it. Not a good service at all. Not enough staff to keep the place clean. I’m guessing the heating is broken as they have convector radiators with trip hazards all over the place. Almost every lamp shade in the lace has real bad burns on them from the bulbs. Major fire hazard. I am going to report this on Monday morning. We will never be back. Wish I could post the pics I have taken to show everyone the state of the place. On the way out the missing or broken flag stones are a huge trip hazard. Do not eat here. Waste of hard earned cash.

User

Visited tonight first time in about a year. Have been here several times in the past but it has went downhill big time. We were seated next to the reception desk and it was very drafty. My husband ordered rotisserie chicken to be told there was none so made another choice. My salmon was rubbery, the veg was flung on the plate and was hard and cold and the sauce for my salmon was awful. We then waited over 25 minutes for someone to come and remove our plates even though the plain clothed waitress was right next to our table at the reception desk several times. The waitress that served us was run off her feet, i felt the managers could have been coordinating the service better. Asked for the sweet menu and waited again and when ordered we were told the sundae ice cream machine had just broke. We got a discount of 20%! Will not be returning.

User

Used to visit all the time, but has went right down hill. Manager is not friendly at all, nor is the assistant manager. Sadly the customers don’t come first here. However, as there are plenty places that now sell vegan food- no need to visit here. Support small independent places who actually value their customers, unlike here :)
