Just been for our first visit to Harvester Livingston with my husband and son (who turned five today) and the staff have been amazing. From a birthday card once we selected our meals to numerous activities for him at the table and then finished up with a candle in his pudding after being sung happy birthday to. It made his night and ours. Will definitely be back and a huge thanks to Steff & Kirsty for being so welcoming and kind!

I was in with my mum for lunch. We had a fabby waitress who's name I can't remember. But she went over a few things on the menu. We opted for the Xmas menu. We had mushrooms and brie to start which we shared. The mushrooms were out of this world which along with the turkey burger was recommended. The brie was also delish. We will Defo be back and I hope they take our recommendation of putting the mushrooms on as a main.

Had a lovely first experience in Harvester, waitress was very helpful,explaining the procedures how to obtain salads and repeat refills of pepsi, our meals arrived and were brilliant! My wife is Coeliac and the menu was very well explained and her meal was delicious

Fantastic service from the moment we went in and went out, Kirsty our waitress made us all have a enjoyable meal. Food was lovely. Will definitely be back. Xx

Great visit again. Staff pushed but attentive to ur needs etc. Food good... stayed on xtra for coffee which wasnt an issue. Kids cleared their plates too ♡

Was alright. Had a burger. My son wanted the kids omelette and chips with ham instead of cheese but they said no. Only comes as is on the menu. He said it tasted like congealed scrambled egg. Came all the way from Prestwick for the day shopping. Would visit again and perhaps try something else for him.

Service was a bit on the slow side although there was not a lot of people in main meal was lovely but half the sweets were of the menu got an ice cream sundae the ice cream was horrible and tasteless

Server Charlene was lovely!

Food was nice but lots of ingredients missing from our plates.

My Boys love the unlimited juice - the strawberry, vanilla, lime or cherry options for tango n pepsi are great. That said for a family of 6 at £77 its pricey and the standrds and portions could be larger to reflect the cost. Our chips had wee black bits as they burned something in the oil which we complained about too.

First impression clean and busy. Welcomed at the door and seated no kids packs give to our two children also no” we will be back to take your order etc etc”. When someone eventually came back first thing we asked for was not available. Poor choice on menu also salad bar was very poor and lacking bread sticks, rolls also dressings and what salad was there was very dried and poor looking! We waited what felt like forever for our meal.... burgers not exactly out the ordinary and two kids meals. These where edible but not very appetising looking. I certainly won’t be back in a hurry.

The server was very nice explaining everything and friendly but got two breakfast which took half an hour to come and it was not busy at all got haggis as an extra on my plate which was the size of my finger nail was not worth the extra money this was yesterday morning

The luck of staff training is a big issue in this place, they are too busy with standing on hot plate talking. If you need anything you need to stand up and go and “bother” them on hot plate. The actual staff is a shame for the place and the owner should get it sorted.

It was ok food was ok. After ordering the food took an age to come not good enough. The waiter or server wore denims and a woolly jumper not good attire for a eatery or restaurant. Wouldn't eat there again.

Been here a few times and it's always been hit or miss. This time was definitely a miss. Ordered the mixed grill sent back twice. First they missed the chicken second time they missed the onion rings. When the onion rings came out they were soggy and inedible. The fried egg was also overcooked and inedible. Will not be back. Food was horrible staff mixed up my order. I asked for gluten free bread and was clearly given normal bread. Due to this I have ended up ill as I am wheat intolerant. We visited Sunday 12th November. Won't be back. Place was dirty and staff are rude and clueless. Wouldn't even give 1 star

When we ordered our food, I asked for steak and they said they have not had any all day. After we had placed the rest of the order, the kids got their drinks and salad. The waitress came back and said we do not have the yorky boats for the kids. So I said I will pay for the drinks and leave. When I then spoke to someone that I was told was the manager (stand in) who was stuffing her face on chocolate. Was not even apologetic. Not the way to handle complaints.

We waited to be seated, which didn't take long and it also never took them long to take our order but it took them at least an hour to send out our food which wasn't that hot, tasted like it had be sitting for a while! Visited here on 24/02/18 around 5.30pm as a table of 6. There were only 3 other tables in at the time, 2 of which left before we ordered. We were sat next to a dirty table which remained dirty for the duration of our visit. The service was extremely slow despite the place being empty. When we ordered, 2 of us said we would have starters and deserts the others just wanted mains therefore asked that all the meals came together. The starters arrived and there were no signs of the other 4 meals (3 scampi and 1 burger). We waited over 40 minutes for the remaining meals to eventually appear and when they did all of the scampi and chips were cold - no member of staff came back to do a check on our table for us to tell them the issue. We were in a rush as we were attending an event in Edinburgh so one member of our table went looking for a member of staff to tell them the food was cold and to get our bill. There was no offer of an apology. There was no excuse for the level of service we received as we could see at least 3 different waitresses on shift and a few people in the kitchen and the restaurant was empty apart from our table and 2 others by the time we left. We could forgive the wait if they were very busy but they weren't. I made a complaint via their website and I am yet to have a response. I made contact with Harvester via twitter where they stated that the manager called me and spoke with me yesterday- this was not the case and I had no missed calls or voicemails so this was a lie on behalf of the manager. The twitter team apologised for this and said they would inform the manager and get them to respond - I'm still waiting. Maybe they know how rubbish their service is and just don't want to deal with it. Definitely wouldn't return.

Guys you need to employ more staff or will loose loyal customers. The poor staff here are always lovely but run off feet xx

Shocking from the get go came in with my friend and my 2 babies ( double buggy ) asked to sit at a table with space and was told no we couldn’t be seated there and was seated at a jointed table right next to where everyone walked past leaving minimal space for others felt completely in the way . Restaurant wasn’t busy yet we waited an hour for service to which food arrived burnt and cold like it had been lying for ages ! My daughters sausages were cremated so I asked for these to be sent back and I quickly got a replacement wot which 1 side was cooked other side wasn’t browned she refused to eat them and I didn’t blame her .i ordered a burger and chips the burger was over done and the bacon on it was inedible . My friend ordered a burger to which was fine but again her chips were cold . We had no time to wait for replacements as we had children to collect from school so we ate what we could . The only plus was the free salad bar which was fresh and had a variety so glad my daughter got something to eat . Service wasn’t brilliant either waitress looked like she didn’t want to be there . Won’t be in a hurry to return . Meals aren’t value for money .

My fiancé and I eat here quite often, we usually get exceptionally high customer service but tonight we were left feeling very much unsatisfied. Your website states we can obtain the offer Buy 1 Main and get 1 for £1, we thought this was a fantastic offer before we visited this evening. Upon our arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner, but was lead to disappointed when our server told us the offer in concern ended on Friday. Your website is still advertising this offer so by law and in the eyes of Trading Standards we should have been able to take up this offer with no issues whatsoever. I will be taking this further should management fail to satisfy me as a paying customer.

My experience in this restaurant today was more than disappointing, I received my main to find a long blonde hair tangled all through my sweet potato fries, I then walked up to (what I thought was a manager) at the hot plates to then be told it will be sorted, she then stormed over and said another one was put on, was still waiting on an apology. I then continued to wait 20 minutes and still no lunch (restaurant not busy) so then had to approach another member of staff to tell her to forget about my meal. As I was totally disgusted. By the state of my first meal and then by the attitude of the staff. I had asked a member of Staff for a phone number for head office. She then returned stating that to check my receipt I'd find information on that of a website.

It was absolutely shocking , twice I have been and they run out of food , poor customer service , have emailed 3 times to make a complaint and no return email .. quality of food was poor for the cost .. definitely won't go back there.

If I could put no stars I would waited 50 mins this morning for a cold breakfast then they expexted me to pay £9.87 no chance I will not be back again recommend to stay away

I visited with a friend for lunch yesterday. The salad bar was good. I had a Pepsi to drink and it was watered down and tasteless. My friend had the fish and it had a horrible taste to it. The chips were not grate and the peas were the smallest amount going. It was the worst bar lunch we have ever had. We would have been better going to Macdonalds and we certainly won't be back.

For the price of our meal, the food was just standard, had better in our local for less. The length of time it took for the food to arrive was bad, felt like leaving. DISAPPOINTED BIG TIME!

We only dined here because we had a “one4all” voucher to use and we didn’t fancy the other eateries where you could us the voucher. So I also signed up the app and had a voucher from a free j2o (which I declared to the waitress at the beginning and showed her it). Free salad bar seemed a bonus too. All was ok, food was nice. Salad bar was ok. We asked for the bill and said we had a voucher to use. The waitress took the voucher without asking the balance of the voucher (we knew there was £20 on it) and without giving us a receipt. She then came back advised sorry your voucher is declined, twice. She gave me two receipts to back this up. Fine I said but you never asked the balance of the voucher so I asked her to put only £20 through, to which she replied “we’ve already tried its declined ask my manager” fine ok go get the manager. Over she comes same chat, already tried that it doesn’t work so I quite rightly asked for the “declined” receipt for £20 and off she (manager) went to get it, next minute the waitress comes back and says “so sorry you are right it worked” and followed with “I only tell you what my manager tells me too I’m sorry” to which the manager was hiding behind the bar by this point. Long story, but it ruined the lunch. If this hadn’t happened it would have been a “good” review. However the voucher for the free j2o was also not redeemed so this also shows lack of training to the floor staff. Disappointed that the manager did not come back and apologise because she blatantly lied to us and also encouraged her college to lie as well, making us feel quite awkward and embarrassed.



On another note, the wrap was not as described (was still nice) but advertised as having crushed avocado on the wrap, no trace of an avocado today unfortunately.

Slow service, two out of three mains disappointing and wrong, not checked on by staff throughout and only thanked by the chefs behind the pass as we walked out passing 2 other members of staff on route. Disappointing experience overall and wouldn’t recommend. No upbeat atmosphere to be had here.

Didn't think a lot, lacklustre service, wasn't busy but still had to wait to be seated. Only 8 people in at that point. Lots of food being left on plates, no rotisserie chicken (still in oven being cooked), no Rose Wine (wonder if it was still being pressed) no straws for drinks, no dark fruit cider (which was advertised) when eventually got dinner was not good, chips were horrible only good thing was the BBQ Sauce - delicious. The place was absolutely freezing and everyone was complaining and it was still freezing when we left, staff said they were alright. When we complained about the cold we heard one member of staff saying to another "well theyre sitting in the wrong seats" unfortunately for us it was him that put us there. Been once wont go back

If I could put no stars I would waited 50 mins this morning for a cold breakfast then they expexted me to pay £9.87 no chance I will not be back again recommend to stay away

I visited with a friend for lunch yesterday. The salad bar was good. I had a Pepsi to drink and it was watered down and tasteless. My friend had the fish and it had a horrible taste to it. The chips were not grate and the peas were the smallest amount going. It was the worst bar lunch we have ever had. We would have been better going to Macdonalds and we certainly won't be back.

For the price of our meal, the food was just standard, had better in our local for less. The length of time it took for the food to arrive was bad, felt like leaving. DISAPPOINTED BIG TIME!

First impressions were poor, wripped leather seats in the booth fixed with duct tape. Anyway we decided to stay and give it a go. We only dined here because we had a “one4all” voucher to use and we didn’t fancy the other eateries where you could us the voucher. So I also signed up the app and had a voucher from a free j2o (which I declared to the waitress at the beginning and showed her it). Free salad bar seemed a bonus too. All was ok, food was nice. Salad bar was ok. We asked for the bill and said we had a voucher to use. The waitress took the voucher without asking the balance of the voucher (we knew there was £20 on it) and without giving us a receipt. She then came back advised sorry your voucher is declined, twice. She gave me two receipts to back this up. Fine I said but you never asked the balance of the voucher so I asked her to put only £20 through, to which she replied “we’ve already tried its declined ask my manager” fine ok go get the manager. Over she comes same chat, already tried that it doesn’t work so I quite rightly asked for the “declined” receipt for £20 and off she (manager) went to get it, next minute the waitress comes back and says “so sorry you are right it worked” and followed with “I only tell you what my manager tells me too I’m sorry” to which the manager was hiding behind the bar by this point. Long story, but it ruined the lunch. If this hadn’t happened it would have been a “good” review. However the voucher for the free j2o was also not redeemed so this also shows lack of training to the floor staff. Disappointed that the manager did not come back and apologise because she blatantly lied to us and also encouraged her college to lie as well, making us feel quite awkward and embarrassed.



On another note, the wrap was not as described (was still nice) but advertised as having crushed avocado on the wrap, no trace of an avocado today unfortunately.

First ever visit to Harvester this evening. Slow service, two out of three mains disappointing and wrong, not checked on by staff throughout and only thanked by the chefs behind the pass as we walked out passing 2 other members of staff on route. Disappointing experience overall and wouldn’t recommend. No upbeat atmosphere to be had here.

Didn't think a lot, lacklustre service, wasn't busy but still had to wait to be seated. Only 8 people in at that point. Lots of food being left on plates, no rotisserie chicken (still in oven being cooked), no Rose Wine (wonder if it was still being pressed) no straws for drinks, no dark fruit cider (which was advertised) when eventually got dinner was not good, chips were horrible only good thing was the BBQ Sauce - delicious. The place was absolutely freezing and everyone was complaining and it was still freezing when we left, staff said they were alright. When we complained about the cold we heard one member of staff saying to another "well theyre sitting in the wrong seats" unfortunately for us it was him that put us there. Been once wont go back
