arrived Monday the 18th may for 4 nights. with 2 kids aged 1 and 2...Have to say after reading the reviews on here I was a bit worried!!! And was pleasantly surprised! on arrival there was a security guard he was so lovely and helpful!

wee arrived 4 hrs to early for check in at 11am room wasn't ready so took a walk around then kids to the kids to the indoor soft play. so at half 12 my husband went and check if wee could check in and the room was ready!

we're were over at the far side of the complex which was prefect walking distance but put of the way and the caravans were very spaced out which was good... I was so surprised at how nice r caravan was we stayed in a deluxe caravan it was lovely so much space and very clean wee were very happy with the van!.

Driving around the park I noticed that the place looked so clean all the caravans r very well kept and very clean outside. A lot of staff about also.

the food in the place was gorgeous and not 2 expensive. the supermarket was great also not expensive at all which I expected it to be sky high.

the kids loved the pool loads of life guards about which was great.

weather was lovely wile wee were there wee had a great time out and about all day kids absolutely loved would definitely book again!!!!

We stayed here from the 25th May for 7 nights in a 3 bedroom prestige caravan. We had travelled 6 hours up from North Wales with our four boys and weren’t disappointed.

We had arrived over an hour early for our check in and the caravan wasn’t ready, we decided to walk around the site and have a little explore. By 1:30 we returned to reception to find the caravan was in fact ready, the staff were great with the kids and kept the excitement up for them!

On arriving at the caravan we were pleasantly surprised to be positioned by the sea, away from the hustle and bustle of the complex. The caravan was spotless and beds all made up.

The week had consisted of having as much fun as possible and boy did we do just that!

We had eaten out in the restaurant a few times and found it really reasonably priced for pretty decent food - the staff were all great and couldn’t do enough for us.

The entertainment was great and even the security staff were super friendly giving all the kids hi fives. We had done loads of activities throughout the week and the activity team were fantastic, really helping the boys along if they struggled.

The pool is great fun with so much to do, very very busy at times but plenty of life guards around.

There would only be two very minor complains and that is the lack of air con in bonga Wonga and the live lounge, we had a glorious week of weather and the heat inside the venue was crazy and uncomfortable. The second would be the bins by the park they would fill so quickly and at times spill over, they would need changing more often during the day.

Overall we absolutely loved Craig Tara and we have completely fallen in love with Scotland, so much so we have booked to return to Craig Tara in September!

We had a brilliant holiday Monday 14th may to Friday 18th may with 3yr old and 7 yr old. Don't understand the bad reviews :(. Staff were amazing, friendly and fantastic with the kids! Adults entertainment at night was spot on :) live music show and games show such a laugh. Drinks were little expensive but you expect that on holiday. Arcades were lots of fun (won loads on the grab machines and 2p slots) and were constantly topped up with more toys . Lots of fun activities for kids to do and play, some free with your passes and some at extra cost - again i would say worth the money :). We stayed in caravan at Ailsa Brae - very roomy, clean and fantastic view :), nice little tv, 2x toilets, comfy sofa, table etc.... overall brilliant experience and would defo go back again.

This is my third year here with the kids and each time is been absolutely fantastic! Heads of Ayr farm is an amazing day out and the on-site playground/sand/trampolines etc are also fab. The swimming was great as always, kids didn’t want to come home! Had a few complaints about the caravan itself but overall a brilliant weekend, see you next year

User

Stayed for a week had an amazing time entertainment was brilliant. Lots of activity for the children some where free of charge. Accommodation was comfortable and spotless lots of room for the family. Kids really enjoyed themselves. Staff where very helpful and so was entertainment staff. We will be back.

User

Just back today! Really enjoyed stay , we had a prestige caravan in bay view! Was lovely and had amazing views of sea! My 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed it although felt she was getting into trouble quite a bit by standing up on dance floor when there was shows on had to explain to entertainment staff that she has just turned 2! Enjoyed the food on site! Chinese van is amazing! Fun fair - I think if child isn’t tall enough for ride and adult has to go on aswel the adult should not have to use a token As was expensive -overall great week and definitely be back

User

Haven’t stayed on the park yet but giving five stars for the service I received on the phone when I linked my two £9.50 holidays together to stay in the same caravan for a week.

If the park is anywhere near as good as the service we will be in for such an amazing week. Can’t wait and thanks very much

User

Had a great weekend break, found all staff friendly and helpful, caravan was much better than expected, papa johns delivering to caravans brilliant, both kids had great fun and worn out by end of day, would say that archery isn't really suitable for six year olds as he couldn't draw back bow but that was only quibble, we will be back

User

Fantastic holiday at Craig Tara. So much to do and we were very lucky to have great weather. Staff were friendly and great with the kids. Caravan was a platinum sea view and it was lovely and modern. Thank you for an amazing holiday

User

Usually I can't fault this place but but my recent stay in the apartments wasn't that good there wasn't enough bedding or cutlery in the apartment we got put upstairs with 5 kids so kids could t go out n play the way they could have in a caravan. Just wish we had got a caravan other than that the place is great

User

My family and I went to Craig Tara for a 1 week holiday. It was great. The pool complex is brilliant (when it was all actually open, which wasn't very often) This was quite disappointing when my daughter's favourite bits was swimming in the deeper water at the top and in the noodle falls, which weren't open very much. The evening entertainment was faultless, absolutely fantastic, the staff were always full of energy and happy to be there. The only downside was the cleanliness of the bedding in the children's room, footprint on the sheets and quite dirty. Didn't bother complaining as didn't notice until the 3rd day. Overall lovely place to go. Would definitely go again

User

Amazing park and facilities, lots for the kids to do and we got lucky with the weather so a day at the beach went down well plus lying around at the park soaking up the rays while the kids played was so relaxing. All staff very friendly and great with the kids. The apartments where below standards, they had a few little issues but it’s not worth crying over them all as we did have an excellent time which is the only reason I rate 4 stars. I would definitely go back but I will be hiring a caravan instead. Stay away from the apartments.

User

Unhelpful, rude staff - actually overheard the apartment staff talking about us ( the manager I think? ). Fridge froze all of our food on the first night, nothing was edible so had to eat out, overpriced and tasteless - some of it burnt. Rides close at 6pm so be careful not to have too much fun on the beach and miss it as there is nothing else to do apart from the kids disco. Kids water slides closed on holiday Friday and Monday!? Then after promising the kids they could go on them on Sat they were closed due to staff shortage - only to find 4 male staff members chatting for 15mins in changing room about their "mad night out". Oh I could go on but put it this way - I have cancelled our booking for October week. I'd rather miss out on the large deposit I paid than go back.

User

Things where great with the holiday park until our last night. The little boy had been ill for most of the week and was eventually feeling better so was going to get his picture taken with all the seaside squad. Was waiting in queue with his dad for over ten minutes before the security guard (partner didn't realise at first) in front said he was at the end of the queue. Not fair as my wee boy was now all excited and didn't know why now that he was next in line the guy on stage just sent all the characters off stage. Fair enough if it was a long line but there was only four families left. I'm not impressed. My wee boy shouldn't be let down on his last night. Won't be back due to this customer experience.

User

Please don't waste your money on a platinum van!!! Especially one owned privately. Please don't assume any of your valid complaints will be addressed or taken seriously. If you manage to keep your cool when dealing with so called customer services manager then you deserve a medal!! I don't know what kind of houses these folk live in to think that the dirty dump we were given was elegant and luxurious never again!!

User

Loved the facilities and entertainment onsite however our caravan is less than impressive. Completely disgusting, Hygiene standards extremely poor. Oven covered in burnt left over food, milk spilt over and in the fridge, unsanitary toilet, dirty bed sheets, crumbs and hairs all over worktops, carpets not hoovered and crumbs swept into corners. The list goes on all of which was made aware to onsite manager who assured us clearer’s would be here today however no clearer’s and some very angry and frustrated holiday makers. Having tried to clean what I can with little resources available, photos have been taken, dated and time marked which I’m

Happy to share if I get no cooperation tomorrow. Having made my feelings clear to manager and making them aware we have a small infant I feel this is completely unacceptable!
