I took my VW polo to Hawco Garage after a warning light came on and the car entered Limp mode. I was quoted over £1000 for an EGR valve replacement and £800 for other parts, I wasn't convinced these repairs could be determined from a quick visual inspection so took my car to another garage. I have since had a new EGR installed for £440 (inc labour) and was told the other repairs (highly recommended by Hawco) were not necessary at the time. Two starts given as the staff were helpful and I wasn't charge for the diagnosis.

Just dropped in to fix my stereo, very helpful & car cleaned before I left.

Always have excellent service from them, never had a problem dealing with them.

I would not recommend this garage at all. I phoned to inquire about a vw golf 13 plate I asked the sales man was there any marks or damage on the car I was told the car was in great condition besides a few small stone chips on front bumper Donald told me that there were two others interested in the car so I bought it over the phone and collected it the next day i travelled four hours to collect the car and on my way home I noticed a warning light on the dash it said the rear lights are not working then there was two big stone chips in the windscreen doesn't stop there the interior had a cigarette burn mark the roof lining has a hole in it. The back door cards were all scratched and one the seats was ripped a little the previous owner must of had a dog I emailed the garage and was told that the windscreen passed an mot that they won't be replacing it. I trusted the sales man Donald and he lied to me please check there FACEBOOK page for more reviews as other people had bad experience with this garage.
