What a great place, we are still here and just thought I would share our thoughts. John & Joanne we’re fantastic hosts, they gave us a great introduction to to Hawkswood House, and even had a tour of The Roundel and the B & B.

Everything is of a very high spec, from bedrooms & bathrooms to fantastic kitchen, great lounges and a huge boot room at the entrance. Lovely bathroom complimentary toiletries, they even supply slippers.

Everybody in our group were stunned with the whole buildings.

Will be sorry to leave!

We are a group of 9 and have just returned home after spending a fabulous weekend in the Roundel. We stayed in Hawkswood House last year and were so impressed we just had to make a return trip. So pleased that the Roundel has been finished to the same exacting standards as Hawkswood House. The family are just so welcoming and the attention to detail by Mary-Jo is better than many 5* hotels I have visited so well done and thank you - we just can't wait to come back! Gill and the old school gang!

We are a group of 7 who have just returned from the weekend staying in the roundel celebrating my friends 40th. I cannot recommend this property highly enough, it is absolutely beautiful! It's very spacious, beautifully furnished and perfectly equipped, for us it was the perfect place to celebrate and relax with friends.



We loved having the hydro spa for which there are ample towels, robes and slippers. Every bedroom has towels, a hairdryer and lovely furnishings. There are 2 large sitting rooms and a kitchen with a large dining table along with countless bathrooms/toilets. Everywhere was immaculately clean.



Mary-Jo who dealt with our booking process responded to all of my queries exceptionally fast and nothing was too much trouble. We ordered a food delivery to the house before we arrived and she not only arranged to be there for it but put the shopping away for us.



We also used the shuttle service in and out of St Andrews, we were in the new 8 seater bus, I believe they also have a larger one too. John was great, not only dropped and collected us but gave us a tour and some great recommendations.



Thank you so much for everything we hope to return in the near future.

Just returned home after 4 amazing days at The Roundel. Every aspect of the stay was perfect, from the massively friendly and helpful staff putting all arrangements in place, including private catering for a birthday meal, through to all the luxurious touches to make this a perfect stay. I'd thoroughly recommend a trip here, the website photos looked immense, but the reality was even better. This really has left us with lifetime memories thanks to Mary-Jo and the team.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for having me and my bridal party on the eve of my wedding in July! The house was immaculate and it was a great place to unwind before the big day. It was also very spacious for all to get ready and the staff at Hawkswood House were very helpful. The little ones loved the hot tub and my dad even had time to practice on the short game area - it was perfect. I would definitely recommend it not just for bridal parties but for people wanting a luxury break away and for a group of golfers wanting somewhere private away from the hustle and bustle.

Hawkswood House is a hidden gem in East Fife. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but are actually only 15 mins for St Andrews. The house itself is luxurious and every room has been individual designed. It’s more like a boutique hotel than holiday house. We booked Hawkswood for our friends 40th birthday and we couldn’t have picked a better location. All of us are working mums and the weekend we had away was so relaxing and just what we were looking for!

Had a brilliant time here with our family celebrating our daughters 30th birthday. Beautiful house and we can't wait to go back. Owners so helpful and friendly . Not a single complaint from us. Couldn't fault it.
