Stayed here on the 14/10/17 was fully booked by my sons wedding party all rooms booked we all had a great day and the hotel was absolutely great value .the meals were excellent and very large portion's all staff were more than helpful with any our needs and the hotel was very welcoming with the children also the hotel owner took time to come in on his day off to meet and greet all guest .would recommended this hotel to anybody thanks again to kieran
Go to center Parcs Penrith every year and used to go to Gretna centre for breakfast on way. Last year we decided to try Hazeldene hotel and was far better. Went back again today and weren't disappointed. Good good, service and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be making this our regular breakfast stop.
You have a choice when booking. Personally i like this place. Food portions massive. Rooms adequate but immaculately clean Staff warm and friendly.Suited me down to the ground. Other people might disagree and you might be able to find cheaper but we enjoyed the place.
Called in for dinner whilst visiting Gretna Green, it's just over the road from the museum. The food was good and well priced and plenty of it. Another good thing was the dog was aloud in the bar area, it was the waitresses first day and she done really well and had the answer to any question we had. Will visit again when in the area.

Friendly staff but very poor food. Worst I've ever had. Kids tomato pasta was basically cheap sweetened tomato ketchup mixed with overcooked pasta. Sweet and sour veg was again too sweet to eat and tasted like it came straight from a huge vat of pre-made sauce. To be fair they offered me something else but by then it was too late to eat. I also wasn't charged for my food which was fair. The steaks and burgers that passed looked good but poor got vegetarians. They also have fish listed as veggie! Haven't seen that mistake for years. Avoid if you're vegetarian
Out for dinner, reasonably priced and food came out quickly !
The food is really good. My partner and I had a fantastic meal. The crispy beef starter is amazing and so's the garlic mushrooms. The steak was delicious and so the macaroni cheese looked terrific too.
The staff were great I highly recommend the hazeldene. We've booked up for the Sunday dinner before we'd even finished our meal.
Nice bar. Friendly staff. Good juke box. Pool table.
Had Xmas party had pate toast was stail should of been warm turkey was lovely and roulade was nice service wasnt all that room for improvement
