About Healthcare Improvement Scotland
Healthcare Improvement Scotland is a national body supporting health and social care professionals improve the quality of care they provide.
Healthcare Improvement Scotland Description
We believe that every person in Scotland should receive the best care possible every time they come into contact with our health and social care services. We gather together the strongest evidence to issue the best advice; we work with health and social care staff to put that advice into practice, and then we check that the advice is being followed and publish reports on what we've found.
The Healthcare Environment Inspectorate, the Scottish Health Council, the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN), The Scottish Patient Safety Programme, Scottish medicines Consortium and the Scottish Health Technologies Group are key components of our organisation.
