Would give 6 stars if I could. Had an amazing trip in the Highlands and Skye. Nory is a phenomenal story teller and the trip would not have been the same without him. Loved the history and folklore Nory spun into beautiful tales related to the places we visited. Everywhere Nory took us was spectacular. Thanks so much for showing us such a great time!!!

This will forever be one of my favorite parts of my study abroad experience in Scotland. I absolutely loved every stop we made and seeing the beauty Scotland has to offer. Our four day tour to the Isle of Skye, Inverness and the Highlands was exceptional. Nory is a knowledgeable, engaging and charming guide. His stories and historical narration are a wonderful complement to the magnificent Scottish scenery. The pace, the tone, the mood, and accommodations on this tour create an atmosphere both magical and educational. I hope to repeat this tour with my extended family. By far our best travel experience to date!

One of the best trips ever! I enjoyed every moment of it. Scotland is extremely beautiful country and especially the Highlands. As part of the trip, we visited many magical places and saw countless breathtaking sceneries. During the whole trip, we heard stories and learnt many new things about Scotland, which were presented in a very interesting and funny way. The accommodation we stayed was very cosy and comfortable with an amazing view. I definitely recommend the trip, 100% worth it!

One of the best tours i have had. Visited almost all the famous places up in the highlands. The tour guide, Nuri, narrated all the folk stories behind this spots and actual history of Scotland as well.



The accommodation was a beautiful house by the lake. It was comfy, cosy and massive.

One of the best tours I have ever been on. The views are incredible, the accommodations are quaint and the definition of a Scottish home. Nory knows an endless amount about the Highlands and Scotland in general, tells great stories, is hilarious, and makes delicious Haggis. Would recommend this trip to anyone. AMAZING!

Nory gives one of the best tours. Had the best time and loved every minute. He is passionate, knowledgeable of the land and history, and a great story teller. You get to see all the sights and I felt there was plenty of time at each spot. It helped us get a great overview of that part of The Highlands while being relaxed. Being in a small group helped with time too.

I went on a weekend tour through Heartland Travel back in 2013 while doing a semester abroad at the University of Stirling. The trip was excellent because Nory went out of his way to show us the sights of Scotland (particularly on the Isle of Skye!). He is very knowledgeable about all things Scotland and his laid back manner made him approachable and fun to travel with. I highly recommend Heartland Travel (especially to study abroad students with limited time to see the sights of Scotland)!

I loved our weekend to the Isle of Skye. It was definitely my favorite trip of my entire study abroad experience. Nory is a wonderful story teller that will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time! Not only did we explore unique and truly magical places like I've never seen before, we also got to stay in a beautiful and cozy accommodation making food together, playing guitar, and telling stories by the fire. It was hands down one of the best and most memorable weekends of my life and I would go back on this trip in a heart beat! If you are looking for a tour that gives you the authenticity of Scottish culture while having a blast, this is the company to book with!!

I went with the International students Society through the University of Dundee and was anxious seeing as I didn’t know anyone but it was honestly an experience I will never forget! The tour guide Nory just made the trip with all of the history and we were all basically a family by the end! Definitely not an experience you will get with any other tour! I’ve recommended this trip to a friend and she had the same experience!

I beyond loved it! Best tour ever! If you really want to see the crazy beautiful scenery as well as learn a lot of history about grand Scotland...this is THE tour to take. The bus was cozy and all participants left as friends. Frequent stops to take scenic walks kept us on our toes and our minds working with history stories (and comedic relief) told by our guide Nory. No worries about stopping for breaks, coffee, snacks... all taken care of. You will never find another like this tour or Nory! The accommodation in Stromeferry was warm, cozy, and downright charming. The fishing boat excursion was also an absolute must! I cannot wait to return to Scotland and I will be repeating another tour with Heartland Travel...they’re the best!

Fun and adventurous with the perfect amount of cozy down time, a weekend with Nory and Heartland is one you will never forget. I was on a tight budget during study abroad, but I'm so happy I made room for this tour. The sites were perfectly picked and everyone has a great time. My experience with Heartland is one that will always be dear to my heart.
