It's the last full week of the summer holidays!
So while you've got the chance, take the kids along to the newly accredited 5* Visit Scotland attraction Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries where there's plenty for all the family. Exhibitions, Andrew Carnegie's historic library, a new children's library, amazing architecture, funky garden and even a mini maze for the kids.
All topped off with a barista coffee, light snack and delicious home made cake at Heaven Scent at Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries - of course!

We are now OPEN and ready to start cooking up some amazing Sunday breakfasts, brunches and lunches.

The lovely Joan from Usbourne Books has set up a beautiful selection of children’s books and games in the library at Heavens Above. Joan will be with us over lunch until 1430 so pop through the fridge door and up the stairs to have a look and get a bargain book! All welcome!

Michael is on annual leave this week, so will unfortunately be unable to attend to your hot drink requirements. He is, instead, enjoying some much needed R&R with cutie patootie baby Alice.

"We booked in for our friend's baby shower for an afternoon tea and what an amazing afternoon we all had. The staff were so attentive, the food was amazing and they gave us a separate room which made it even more special. I highly recommend Heaven Scent."
As well as offering mouth-watering afternoon teas for private events at Heavens Above, we get out and about catering for celebrations across Kinross-Shire, Fife and Perthshire. Here's one for a post-wedding party in Dalgety Bay...

We feel we've cracked our gluten-free range and are now working hard to add vegan and dairy free into the mix. It's not easy - we won't lie - as we don't want to compromise on taste or texture.
But we're getting there, and are particularly proud of our gluten-free and vegan spiced apple and tumeric gateau.

Our new menu features wonderfully creative dishes like "Baked boxed camembert infused with kitchen’s topping of the day" and "Grilled halloumi & pineapple salad with Allan’s chilli jam".

We were through for a day out and came in for late lunch. Really friendly staff. Sat outside in the garden. Very nice and relaxing. Lots to choose from on the menu and the food was excellent . Would definitely recommend. And can't wait to come back. Thank you x

We had afternoon tea in the study yesterday it was amazing,great Wee setting,food was amazing,staff were lovely and very reasonably priced!will definitely be back to try more delicious food and hopefully get a wee seat in the secret garden xxx

Was treated to lunch here by my lovely friend. Absolutely scrumptious and what friendly, helpful staff. Pleased to see a good gf selection, always note for my daughter. Highly recommend.

Was at Heaven Scent yesterday morning, my daughter had a breakfast which was very good and not a bit of grease, I had a scone with butter and jam the scone was nice but a bit dry and crumbly but the jam was delicious. The coffee and tea was lovely and hot (can’t stand cool coffee). We will be back again very soon!

Visited last week for the first time. What a lovely friendly experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming and willing to alter menu choices to suit our individual requests. The secret garden was idyllic. Loved getting a wee tour through the secret door to the tea room upstairs. Both brunch and takeaway cakes delicious. Will definitely be back. ( PS - got a second interview! )

The top-notch food and staff really make it such a joy to eat here. Love so much that the Secret Garden is dog-friendly. My toy poodle is well catered for here.

Since being diagnosed with Coeliac disease 7 years ago, I’ve tried several gluten free afternoon teas , some good and some not so good. But I have to say the one I had yesterday was just fabulous. From lovely soft bread for the sandwiches to the wonderful home baked cakes �. I was like a kid in a sweet shop, there was so much choice. Everything was delicious and you would never know they were gf and even being able to have a huge scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam was a real treat in itself. Three of us had the afternoon tea ( myself the only coeliac) and we all enjoyed it very much, we were so full we all had our slice of gateaux boxed up to take home. I can’t rate this little gem highly enough and we just can’t wait for another excuse to return �

Really nice artisan coffee shop with a secret garden. We had the mini breakfast which was just the right amount for us on the way home from the shepherds hut. The chap on the table next to us had the larger breakfast choice and it looked like a challenge I hope to take on soon. Will definitely be back.

Popped in to this lovely warm place got parked right at the door. Food was lovely very friendly staff as it was packed out great atmosphere will be back very soon üòä

My all time favourite place for lunch. Food is amazing, cakes are incredible, atmosphere is lovely and staff are so friendly. I'd give it 6 stars if I could! ÔøΩ

Bacon Pancakes and Maple Syrup absolutely Divine

Just had an amazing picnic on the shores of Loch Leven. We ordered a selection of sandwiches, ham and cheese, steak and my favourite chicken and chorizo. The food was fantastic, highly recommend eating there or doing as we did today and take away. 5 star all day long, thanks.

Hen Afternoon with the kids in the Secret Garden ! Wonka Afternoon Teas were fantastic kids loved them. Adults Afternoon Tea was yummy peach and vanilla scone delish ! Staff and service was brilliant made to feel so welcome, kids loved being able to explore and play while we ate, such a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend, perfect summer holiday treat !

Have been to this little gem many times. The BEST soup, fab panini‘s, and the cakes.....oh my the cakes are to die for. Friendly & helpful staff. Well worth a visit!

Had our daughters beauty and the beast afternoon tea party here yesterday and she absolutely loved it. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. The kids and the adults loved all the food. It was a fab afternoon. We will definitely be back for another visit soon.

Had been waiting months to try this place but travelling from New Zealand meant I had to wait awhile. It definitely was worth the wait with a fabulous menu and food, served by genuinely friendly and helpful staff. Loved it. See you again soon.

Had a brilliant breakfast here on the 17th February 2018. Menu was great and although my poached eggs were a little overdone the porridge was sublime! Attentive staff a cute tea cosy’s made for a wonderful start to the day 👍👍
