Hemp Adobe

Hemp Adobe is a Proprietary Mix of Hemp fibers, Refractories, Mineral pigments, Sand and Water. The advantage to using this mix is there is no toxic off-gas from casting the materials into the finished product. Its primary function is to gather, or sequester carbon dioxide from the environment as a part of the curing process and then forming to a vitreous state. Hemp Adobe can be engineered to any volume of space, and into any shape desired. Hemp Adobe is 40% lighter than conventional concrete. The strength of Hemp Adobe is enhanced with basalt reinforcement, and is used, as spalling or corrosion does not occur, because basalt is made from granite and spun up as a carbon fiber material. Extruded into rebar, it is 6 times the strength of schedule 40 steel. Hemp Adobe is highly efficient structurally, non-flammable, and a natural insulator that disallows thermal exchange but allows for transpiration and "breathability". Hemp as a natural biocide negates mold growth, and insects.
