Cafe provides good home-cooked food. Good variation of plants and many other things for the garden/outdoors.

The dino park was brilliant. Kids loved it. You would probably struggle to spend an entire day here but we'll worth the entrance fee.

This is one of my favourite garden centres. Hetland is a destination garden centre and is one of the best you'll find. They have everything you would expect from a large garden centre and much more. If you are looking for plants Hetland GC has a huge range of bedding, shrubs, and trees that always seem to be in peak condition.
They have a large car park with plenty of disabled spaces close to the entrance (which has a large ramp and steps). Access to all areas in the garden centre are also wheel chair friendly.
Hetland GC always seems to be evolving. In recent years they have added an outdoor Dino Park (the largest in southern Scotland) which includes the Treehouse Adventure Park and Fairy Glen. In 2017 a huge indoor soft-play is being added and should be open for the summer holidays.
The toilet facilities in the garden centre were all upgraded a couple of years ago and are attractive, spacious and clean.
The Oaktree Tearoom is one of the best garden centre tearooms you'll find. All the food is made on the premises and the home baking is ample in size and tastes divine. I particularly like the range of tray-bakes. You can get a full meal, soup and roll, or light refreshments in the tearoom. Gift vouchers are even available for their "Afternoon Tea For Two".
The run up to Christmas is a special time at Hetland GC. The Dino Park becomes Santa's Ice Cave, along with Christmas storytelling with Mrs Claus, Santa's Elves and carnival side stalls.
