Friday night karaoke shenanigans are coming around again, a great night guaranteed

Went here yesterday afternoon for a 3 pm booking and left at 10 pm need I say anymore xx



We where welcomed at the front door with a very delightful young girl and seated promptly and asked if she could take our jackets love this little gesture and taken to our table me being fussy I asked if we could be moved as I am nosey and live to see everything , thus was no problem. Next we where presented with our menu and asked if we would like a drink, this I like as I'm always thirsty� any way we proceeded to look at the 2 menu we where giving 1 was a deal for lunch 2 course £12 and the A la Carte menu we choose the latter. I had tempura chicken and my hubby had homemade pate with all the trimmings and both were devine, then I had the fillet steak med to well cooked to perfection with of course chips and butter sauce mmm and a wee cheeky side of chilli broccoli very tasty my hubby had beef stroganoff which was out of this world served with rice I was Hopi g he couldn't finish so I could eat his lol but in the end he ate mine as there was to much and very filling , top marks here as I could eat like a Billy Goat giving the chance. We then asked if we could move up stairs to the cocktail lounge as it was very busy and I wanted more alcohol and this was no problem was great to just have a very relaxing day in the 1 place rather than moving around � well was my first time and I've made 2 bookings already for me and the girls for our Christmas day out which will be on the 25th November as we a have other plans in December and kids so I am way looking forward to the next encounter here and please don't get me as drunk as I was this time , had an amazing time and the ambience if the restaurant transports you else where great food great service and defo great music till next time xxx

We happened to see this place on Facebook, and although it’s 20 minutes away, I thought we would go and give it a try.

Well I can honestly say that it was well worth the taxi journey.

From the moment we walked in, until the time we left, the very friendly staff were excellent and so attentive.

The food was all excellent I couldn’t have asked for more.

Every dish was delicious.

The owner was on hand and you could see he cared what all his customers thought.

I would highly recommend this restaurant

And we will definitely be going back over with the whole family in tow for another top class meal.

This was our third time here and we could not recommend it enough. Food is out of this world and the staff could not be any nicer and any more welcoming. We can't wait to come back here for Valentine's Day!

Spent a great Saturday afternoon here.....food fab and real value for money, and staff great and very friendly!

Really enjoyed my meal, my daughter said it's the nicest steak she has ever had, staff were very nice with a wee twist of funny, that always gives good vibes of a place 👍

Made a last minute booking yesterday. One of the better decisions I've made. Both the steak and chicken skewers were cooked to perfection and the chilli and garlic broccoli gave a great twist on boring old veg. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The young lad that waited on us (the chefs son) was very attentive and made sure all our needs were met. Outstanding all of you. It's a while from I left any reviews but this restaurant definitely merits all 5 ⭐️ reviews. We will be back.

I've been to the Hickory numerous times since it opened and I've been meaning to write a review but have been too lazy but I've finally pulled my finger out. Every time we've been the food has been excellent and really good value. The cocktails are lovely, the venue is tastefully decorated and the music choice is great. A special shout out has to go to all the staff though who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Full marks!!!

Had a brilliant dinner at Hickory for my sister and nieces birthday. They were so accommodating and we were so demanding! Food was great and service was 5*.

Great meal here this evening, this was my first time in and was impressed. Food arrived in good time and service was attentive and prompt. We ate from the bar menu which had excellent choices and was very reasonable, food was great.



They have an excellent choice of cocktails (alcoholic and non), the barman knows his stuff! There is also a fab relaxing drinks area upstairs which is separate from the dining area that can be used even if you don't want food.



Hickory has a great atmosphere and the Staff are very friendly and keen to please. This restaurant is exactly what Shawlands needs! We will be back!

Food was lovely, presented well & was nice & hot. Staff were lovely they made you feel very welcome. The service was very good to. I will be visiting again, I will recommend it to all my family & friends.

Five stars just for your Pastaval Mac and cheese ! Sad you didn't win - yours was the only Mac and cheese that actually tasted of cheese!

First visit last night with my pals for our Christmas night out. Wonderful food..very tasty haggis bon bons! Amazing steak. The staff were just lovely. Attentive, fun and happy. Definitely recommend many a trip back here. Thank you for making our night so fantastic! Debbie

Amazing place,food out of this world & staff go above & beyond. Drove from Dumfries to Glasgow for the night but would defo drive to glasgow again just for this. Absolutely amazing x

Absolutely superb. One of the best steaks either my wife or I have ever eaten, and we love our dead animal. Brilliant with the little one, really accomodating, amazing staff. Couldn't find fault and definitely our new favourite restaurant.
