Highest Praise Description

Highest Praise is a contemporary Christian Radio show every Tuesday night at 7. 00pm on obanfm 103. 3 West Coast of Scotland. Or log on to ObanFM on tunein radio to listen at this time. Highest Praise began as a dream in the summer of 2010. Not aware of what was in my heart, the then chair of ObanFM radio, who knew I loved listening to Christian music, told me there was a slot available on a Tuesday night if I wanted my own show. This seemed like a God given opportunity, not to be turned down. I play mainly contemporary Christian music and am privy to new albums not yet released-so the most up to date goes over the airwaves. Worshippers such as Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Don Moen, Paul Baloche, Don Francisco, Robin Mark, Kathryn Scott and Stuart Townend to name a fewmore established worship leaders and more recently, Alan McKinlayand Pete James, and bands such as Delirious?, Caedemons Call, Jars of Clay and Hillsong. These are just a sample of the types of music played. I also play the occassional Gaelic hymn /psalm for those who still speak the language in the West of Scotland-and there are still quite a few. When possible I try to interview local and national guests who are involved in mainline Christian activity, especially community based. Over the winter months, I also trialled a Christian book review once a month, listeners able to phone in to win the book of the month. This is a new venture and I pray God will use and bless it for the furtherance of His Kingdom here on earth, especially in the west coast of Scotland.

Happy New Year to all our listeners. I pray that you had a blessed and meaningful Christmas and looking forward to another year in which we can praise God for His goodness and care. However for some the prospect might be bleak for various reasons. Please be assured that He is with you whatever you are going through-sometimes He grants relief, sometimes He heals but always He cares and gives grace. Run to Him, hide in Him, cling to His promises-He will never leave you nor forsake you. Tonight, Highest Praise starts the new year and I'll be bringing a selection of new and favourite songs. So please join me if you can on Oban FM at 7.00pm.

Tonight will be my last Highest Praise for 2018 (Stuart Lawson hosting next week's programme). Please join me if you can. I will be playing seasonal songs-but not the conventional ones (😁) I'll leave that to Stuart L next week. But it's Christmas-let's remember the reason for the season and put aside all the concerns of the day, especially those of Parliament, and join me for a 'peaceful' hour remembering the Prince of Peace, the Light of the World.

Well tonight on Highest Praise I'll be looking at 'Remembrance'-what does it mean to us. All weekend we have seen services remembering those that died in the wars, esp WW1, and reflecting after 100 years of the armistice. What difference has that made to us today? Then we'll look at the death of one person which has transformed the world-and continue to remember 'till He comes back again. Join me tonight at 7.00pm on Oban FM. Blessings Stuart

Tonight’s Highest Praise will be hosted by Crawford Inglis and myself where we will be discussing Jesus, Light of the world. At this time of Halloween where the ‘dark side’ is being promoted, we want to show that where Christ is, darkness must flee. Join us at 7.00pm on ObanFM. Blessings. Stuart
