We were on the Skye and Eilan Donan trip today with Kevin, what a treat!! He was so knowledgeable without being like a history teacher, the trip was broken up into small chunks so you didn't feel like you were stuck all day on a bus, and the beauty spots we had stops at were perfect!! We are from the Moray coast but just wanted someone else to take responsibility for the driving and we got so much more for our money!! I am originally from Aberdeen and we don't like spending money but I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

We just finished the 5-day tour of Isle of Skye and the highlands, and it was absolutely amazing! I can’t imagine trying to do that trip, and see that many things driving yourself. The history and commentary from our driver and tour guide, Brendan, was fantastic. By the end of the trip he felt like family to us, and we are going to miss him!

The B&B accommodations booked on our behalf were great. My family has zero complaints, and we all agree it was our favorite trip we have taken (and we travel quite a bit).

A once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We just completed our five day tour of the highlands and the Isle of Skye with our guide Brendan. It was an amazing experience and Brendan was a super guide and took the best care of us all. We saw so much in that short time and learned so much and enjoyed the Scottish songs and music that Brendan played for us. Booking your tour was the best decision we made. From the start, the booking staff were most friendly and obliging, the accommodation was lovely and the tour was superb!!! Thank you Highland Experience Tours!!! ���

We had booked 2-Day Jacobite Experience including the Hogwarts Express (July 21st to July 22nd) to see a bit more of Scotland than just Edinburgh. I traveled with my mom who had been to Scotland once before, but to me it was the first time. We were more than happy with our driver/tour guide Daniel who was patient, nice and made us all feel welcome. Not to mention that Scottish accent that was music to our ears and made the tour feel more authentic! 🎶 The accommodation at Fort Augustus was very good and the hosts were such a lovely couple! Bagpipe versions of AC/DC's legendary Highway To Hell and Harry Potter theme lightened up the mood while driving through curvy roads on our way to Fort William and back to Edinburgh.🤗😉 Even though the weather was misty and partly rainy, we could not have been more pleased with the tour itself! Thank you!

We absolutely loved our 3 day Isle of Skye tour with Owen! Owen was very knowledgeable and shared wonderful stories and jokes, as well as played delightful Scottish music to enhance the views. Owen made this tour all the more enjoyable and went over and above to make it magical for us all! The sights on this tour were gorgeous- we saw so much of the Highlands and the Isle of Skye but never felt rushed. We had plenty of time to savor each and every stop. The icing on the cake was the 10 other travelers on this tour. They all were very personable, friendly and delightful to get to know better! Everything about this tour was 5 star!

This was our first time with Highland Experience tours and it was our favorite day. We are a family of 6 and Steven B was our tour guide. He was very humorous and knowledgeable about his Scottish roots which was so fascinating to me and my family. I had my 2 kids with me (a 3 yr old and 8 yr old) and they enjoyed the tour, too! So many stops and photo opportunities! My kids loved every second. My favorite parts included the excursion to stick my feet in the Loch Ness, see the hairy coos, and I stuck my face in the part of the loch with magical fertility powers! � We had a blast! Wish we did the 3 day tour instead of the 1 day. The only complaint I have to make is I wish we didn’t have such a dull group. My husband and I were the only ones who were trying to have fun. Btw, he said thanks for the Glengoyne whiskey recommendation!

Owen was our driver and guide on our recent three day trip to the Isle of Skye. We found him to be funny yet very knowledgeable about subjects ranging from Scottish history to the geology of the area. He made every possible effort to be accommodating to all twelve of us, making us feel the trip was almost personalized for us! We could not have asked for a better experience. Our trip to Scotland at the highlands and the Isle of Skye, the 3days tour with the Highland Experience excursions, was amazing!! It left us the best memories, had surpassed our expectations. A unique, magical journey in time and in life of other people!! It was a unique experience!! A great trip like a fairytale, which was even better because of our excellent driver/guide Steven. (As I read in fb, there are 2 drivers / guides, Steven A and Steven B?? If yes, he was the driver/guide at the tour between 25th and 27th of May 2018..:)..)

Tour was full of magical and beautiful images, landscapes, exceptional Scottish music that was fitted in each case , smiles, feelings, flavors, smells, interesting visits to cities and attractions. 3 days full of Scottish aroma!! Special thanks to the driver / guide who transferred us too many information about Scottish History that he is really very proud about. Steven, you are very proud of your country but your country must be very proud that has you as Scottish citizen too.

At the beginning, though we were little worried of what was expecting us, very soon this had passed away. Steven's help was valuable. Exceptional and tireless in what he does, but also a very good person that cares much about people. He deserves congratulations !! His positive energy, his nice sense of humor, professionalism, his incredibly friendly behavior, his knowledges, helped all worries passed away. Thank you very much Steven for everything!!

Also the accommodation was very good and everything was on time. Thank you! We returned back home with the best impressions. We do not hesitate to recommend your travel agency.

Our three day Isle of Skye tour was amazing. Our guide, James was very knowledgeable and friendly. The accommodations on the Isle of Skye were lovely. We enjoyed James' excellent story telling, the music he shared, and we had a good amount of time at each stop to ensure we were able to see as much as possible within the three days. I highly recommend the three day highland and Isle of Skye tour!

Our 1 day excursion with Steven B. was everything and more we hoped for. From Edinburgh to Inverness than to Glencoe seemed like 10 minutes and lasted for about 12 hours. Our guide and driver made our experience unique. He filled us with little known facts (at least to me) that you can get only from locals.

Our only regret was, that this was only one day, wish we had a time for 3-4 day tour.

My husband and I had two tour guides for our eight day tour. Both of our guides were awesome and both deserve 5 stars. Neil was detail oriented and so knowledgeable...imagine my surprise to find out he had only been a guide for two years. His saucy sense of humor kept everyone laughing and our group had such a great time.

The second leg of our journey was with James. We did not think we would be able to find a guide as good as Neil but James was equally as wonderful. His sweet, thoughful and caring demeanor coupled with his dry humor just makes him so endearing. Totally enjoyed his well thought out playlist. It went perfectly with the landscape.

Thank you to both gentlemen. We will never forget either of you!

Lovely tour with Garry the legend as our funny guide full of good stories and jokes and good music to fill in the long driving hours. He was very patient and nice, my older sister is hearing impaired and he was immediately willing to wear and extra blue tooth speaker for her. He made all the stops clear about the significance of the spot and time we had at each place. Beautiful sights and great guide! (We did the 2 day Jacobite experience tour through the highlands and train ride)



Train Ride from fort William to mallaig and the additional loch Ness boat ride were my highlights!

Just returned home from 10 days in Scotland on a trip booked with Noble Garden Tours and accompanied the owner, Kirsty Dougherty. She hired Highland Experience Tours to show us the best and finest of Scotland for 6-days of our tour. Our driver and local guide was Andrew Jones, who was quite entertaining and accommodating to our bus load of 7 women! Andrew made sure that our visit to Scotland would be memorable. We started out in Edinburgh and then drove as far as the Isle of Skye, stopping at many points of interest along the way, including Drumond Castle, Cawdor Castle, Stirling Castle, St. Andrews, Loch Ness, Loch Lomond, several historic battlefields & The Kelpies....the list goes on and on. My only disappointment was that Andrew would not reveal what he was wearing under his kilt!

I just came back from a long wished holiday in Scotland with my friends. We booked two one-day tours (Lochness , Glencoe and the Highland + Stirling and Rosslyn Chapel) and we were enthusiast of both of them. Locations were astonishingly beautiful, participants were given plenty of time to take pictures and visit places, everything was very well organized. Both drivers (Fergus and James) were very kind and great storytellers.

First time using this company for a tour and cannot rate it high enough. Great value for a 3 day trip to Skye with the driver/guide going beyond what our expectations were. Couldn't have asked for better. Steven A was so informative, funny, helpful and knowledgeable and fitted so much into our sight seeing. Loved the fact of it being a small bus and everyone being friendly. Definitely will use again and recommend to friends �

First time in Scotland

First time at the Isle of Skye



Thoroughly enjoyed this tour last week, our guide Barney kept us entertained on our journey with stories from the past, film locations and places of interest.

The group I was in on the tour was a mixture of age ranges from young to "old" or mature.



Barney was very accomodating and made sure that everyone enjoyed the experience and not left out.



Good thing I like was that it was a small 16 seater minibus where all of us got on (I was dreading that it was going to be those 50-72 seater monster coaches)



Extremely good tour for a first timer in Scotland with a excellent tour guide in Barney.



Looking at my next (longer) trip to Scotland and will be using Highland Experience tours again for the next one

Absolutely amazing 2 day Jacobite steam train tour, first time using the company and can’t rate them high enough, Andrew was amazing from start to finish and made everything so much fun and was so helpful throughout the tour! I will 100% be using the company again and will be bringing friends with me next time!! �

We did the 3 day Isle of Skye tour with Chick and it was amazing! He shared so much of the history of Scotland, had a great sense of humor and hilarious stories, and took us to the most delightful stops we never would have known about. He had great tips for where to shop, eat, etc. Our only disappointment was where we stayed in Portree, it was very musty with mold on the bathroom walls, pretty gross. Otherwise the trip was fantastic and well-worth the money. We had a fantastic time! Chick made it his mission to make sure we had a great time!

The tour was OK would have been better if organised better. Such as stops allowed u to do something other than queue for poor toilet facilties!! In some no loo paper!! All stops were quick quick quick. Mother in law with mild disability found it boring as she felt she had no time and by the end didn't even bother getting off the bus as seemed to much hassle. �Lots of photo stops which most people were taking through the window as driving along. Stop for tea, nice pub with lovely looking food but no time to order food so pointless stopping could have got back at a better time to eat properly! When we got back - dropped off miles from pick up point when asked said road closed so couldn't go up to the original drop off - got a taxi that took us straight up and past drop off with no issues �. Driver constantly ranting about untrue stories and tales told in films and TV series - forgetting to inform us of sites then telling us once past! Talked about whisky for about an hour �. Talked as if everything was due to Scotland and his views put across constantly! Attitude not great - apparently a long day and he was tired �. Views and scenery great but that's Scotland!! Love Scotland - such a beautiful place �

Wish we did the 3 day tour instead of the 1 day. The only complaint I have to make is I wish we didn’t have such a dull group. My husband and I were the only ones who were trying to have fun. Btw, he said thanks for the Glengoyne whiskey recommendation!

Owen was our driver and guide on our recent three day trip to the Isle of Skye. We found him to be funny yet very knowledgeable about subjects ranging from Scottish history to the geology of the area. He made every possible effort to be accommodating to all twelve of us, making us feel the trip was almost personalized for us! We could not have asked for a better experience. And now I need to go watch Monty Python again!! Thanks, Owen!!

Our trip to Scotland at the highlands and the Isle of Skye, the 3days tour with the Highland Experience excursions, was amazing!! It left us the best memories, had surpassed our expectations. A unique, magical journey in time and in life of other people!! It was a unique experience!! A great trip like a fairytale, which was even better because of our excellent driver/guide Steven. (As I read in fb, there are 2 drivers / guides, Steven A and Steven B?? If yes, he was the driver/guide at the tour between 25th and 27th of May 2018..:)..)

Tour was full of magical and beautiful images, landscapes, exceptional Scottish music that was fitted in each case , smiles, feelings, flavors, smells, interesting visits to cities and attractions. 3 days full of Scottish aroma!! Special thanks to the driver / guide who transferred us too many information about Scottish History that he is really very proud about. Steven, you are very proud of your country but your country must be very proud that has you as Scottish citizen too.

At the beginning, though we were little worried of what was expecting us, very soon this had passed away. Steven's help was valuable. Exceptional and tireless in what he does, but also a very good person that cares much about people. He deserves congratulations !! His positive energy, his nice sense of humor, professionalism, his incredibly friendly behavior, his knowledges, helped all worries passed away. Thank you very much Steven for everything!!

Also the accommodation was very good and everything was on time. Thank you! We returned back home with the best impressions. We do not hesitate to recommend your travel agency.

Our three day Isle of Skye tour was amazing. Our guide, James was very knowledgeable and friendly. The accommodations on the Isle of Skye were lovely. We enjoyed James' excellent story telling, the music he shared, and we had a good amount of time at each stop to ensure we were able to see as much as possible within the three days. I highly recommend the three day highland and Isle of Skye tour!

Our 1 day excursion with Steven B. was everything and more we hoped for. From Edinburgh to Inverness than to Glencoe seemed like 10 minutes and lasted for about 12 hours. Our guide and driver made our experience unique. He filled us with little known facts (at least to me) that you can get only from locals.

Our only regret was, that this was only one day, wish we had a time for 3-4 day tour.

My husband and I had two tour guides for our eight day tour. Both of our guides were awesome and both deserve 5 stars. Neil was detail oriented and so knowledgeable...imagine my surprise to find out he had only been a guide for two years. His saucy sense of humor kept everyone laughing and our group had such a great time.

The second leg of our journey was with James. We did not think we would be able to find a guide as good as Neil but James was equally as wonderful. His sweet, thoughful and caring demeanor coupled with his dry humor just makes him so endearing. Totally enjoyed his well thought out playlist. It went perfectly with the landscape.

Thank you to both gentlemen. We will never forget either of you!

Lovely tour with Garry the legend as our funny guide full of good stories and jokes and good music to fill in the long driving hours. He was very patient and nice, my older sister is hearing impaired and he was immediately willing to wear and extra blue tooth speaker for her. He made all the stops clear about the significance of the spot and time we had at each place. Beautiful sights and great guide! (We did the 2 day Jacobite experience tour through the highlands and train ride)



Train Ride from fort William to mallaig and the additional loch Ness boat ride were my highlights!

Just returned home from 10 days in Scotland on a trip booked with Noble Garden Tours and accompanied the owner, Kirsty Dougherty. She hired Highland Experience Tours to show us the best and finest of Scotland for 6-days of our tour. Our driver and local guide was Andrew Jones, who was quite entertaining and accommodating to our bus load of 7 women! Andrew made sure that our visit to Scotland would be memorable. We started out in Edinburgh and then drove as far as the Isle of Skye, stopping at many points of interest along the way, including Drumond Castle, Cawdor Castle, Stirling Castle, St. Andrews, Loch Ness, Loch Lomond, several historic battlefields & The Kelpies....the list goes on and on. My only disappointment was that Andrew would not reveal what he was wearing under his kilt!

I just came back from a long wished holiday in Scotland with my friends. We booked two one-day tours (Lochness , Glencoe and the Highland + Stirling and Rosslyn Chapel) and we were enthusiast of both of them. Locations were astonishingly beautiful, participants were given plenty of time to take pictures and visit places, everything was very well organized. Both drivers (Fergus and James) were very kind and great storytellers.

First time using this company for a tour and cannot rate it high enough. Great value for a 3 day trip to Skye with the driver/guide going beyond what our expectations were. Couldn't have asked for better. Steven A was so informative, funny, helpful and knowledgeable and fitted so much into our sight seeing. Loved the fact of it being a small bus and everyone being friendly. Definitely will use again and recommend to friends �

First time in Scotland

First time at the Isle of Skye



Thoroughly enjoyed this tour last week, our guide Barney kept us entertained on our journey with stories from the past, film locations and places of interest.

The group I was in on the tour was a mixture of age ranges from young to "old" or mature.



Barney was very accomodating and made sure that everyone enjoyed the experience and not left out.



Good thing I like was that it was a small 16 seater minibus where all of us got on (I was dreading that it was going to be those 50-72 seater monster coaches)



Extremely good tour for a first timer in Scotland with a excellent tour guide in Barney.



Looking at my next (longer) trip to Scotland and will be using Highland Experience tours again for the next one

Absolutely amazing 2 day Jacobite steam train tour, first time using the company and can’t rate them high enough, Andrew was amazing from start to finish and made everything so much fun and was so helpful throughout the tour! I will 100% be using the company again and will be bringing friends with me next time!! �

We did the 3 day Isle of Skye tour with Chick and it was amazing! He shared so much of the history of Scotland, had a great sense of humor and hilarious stories, and took us to the most delightful stops we never would have known about. He had great tips for where to shop, eat, etc. Our only disappointment was where we stayed in Portree, it was very musty with mold on the bathroom walls, pretty gross. Otherwise the trip was fantastic and well-worth the money. We had a fantastic time! Chick made it his mission to make sure we had a great time!

The tour was OK would have been better if organised better. Such as stops allowed u to do something other than queue for poor toilet facilties!! In some no loo paper!! All stops were quick quick quick. Mother in law with mild disability found it boring as she felt she had no time and by the end didn't even bother getting off the bus as seemed to much hassle. �Lots of photo stops which most people were taking through the window as driving along. Stop for tea, nice pub with lovely looking food but no time to order food so pointless stopping could have got back at a better time to eat properly! When we got back - dropped off miles from pick up point when asked said road closed so couldn't go up to the original drop off - got a taxi that took us straight up and past drop off with no issues �. Driver constantly ranting about untrue stories and tales told in films and TV series - forgetting to inform us of sites then telling us once past! Talked about whisky for about an hour �. Talked as if everything was due to Scotland and his views put across constantly! Attitude not great - apparently a long day and he was tired �. Views and scenery great but that's Scotland!! Love Scotland - such a beautiful place �
