Welcome to my new page for my services as Highland Freelance Driver /Guide.
My name is Stephen McColl and I have been driving tour coaches since 2005. My experience as a professional tour driver has taken me all over the United Kingdom and Europe.
I have operated tours throughout most of England, Ireland, Wales & Scotland within the United Kingdom and I have operated tours throughout Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Copenhagen and Sweden.
I hold a current clean unmarked PCV licence with the categories D, D1, DE and D1E.
I also hold a current driver certificate of professional competence, and a digital driver card.
I offer the service of a professional freelance driver /guide to any coach tour operator that operate tours in or to the Highlands of Scotland.
I can cover rest days for drivers.
I can operate a full tour.
I can cover for driver illness.
I can also provide private hire returns for client illness.
Since 2010 I have represented and operated with the successful tour company Crusader Holidays, who are based in Clacton-on Sea and Aylesbury. Crusader Holidays operate under the Motts travel group and are one of the companies that I represent now as a freelance driver /guide.
My professionalism and rapport with Crusader Holidays and the Crusader clients was of a very high standard, always having given crusaders clients a fantastic holiday, and an unmarked history of professional driving. A fantastic reference can be supplied by any off Crusader Holidays directors.
My Freelance Driver /Guide Service is a subsidiary service to Highland Mini Tours, my own small tour business.
I operate mini tours around Fort William and Oban, and also operate private guided tours throughout the Highlands & Islands of Scotland.
