Highland Papercuts Description
I made my first papercut in early 2014, when inspired by the beautiful laser cut wedding invitations I found on etsy I thought i'd give it a go. I only had a pair of rusty cuticle scissors to hand, and made a total pigs ear of the whole thing. Someone more sensible (less stubborn?) might have given up here, but I was hooked.
Since then I've invested in some proper equipment including an electronic plotter. This fusing of modern technology with the traditional art of paper cutting allows me to produce one of a kind cuts that are more affordable. Each original design is hand drawn before being digitised, then after several hours of computer design it is ready to cut out the basic shape. Fine details are then cut by hand using a pair of scissors and a (very sharp) scalpel.
I welcome commissions for unique pieces, and can personalise many of my cuts with dates and names etc.

Hi everyone. I've heard some sad rumours that Facebook pages like mine are being hidden away in your Facebook newsfeed unless we pay facebook money... :) If you can see this, can you pop a comment on- so I know i'm not alone and you've seen my whale screenprint.
