The loss of HMY IOLAIRE on 1st Jan 1919 was perhaps one of the greatest tragedies of the aftermath of WWI. A memorial service, held recently at Glasgow Cathedral, to mark the centenary of that loss, was attended by members of HMS DALRIADA Ship’s Company #LestWeForget #HMYiolaire

BZ (congratulations) to SLt Tumilty of HMS Dalriada for winning this year's MacRobert Trust Sword for the Royal Naval Reserve Junior Officer with the best performance during Initial Naval Training. The sword was awarded during Lord High Admiral's Divisions at Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC) Dartmouth, by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince of Bahrain.

After another successful year it was great to be able to recognise members of our Ship's Company who have contributed so much to HMS Dalriada - BZ for all the hard work!

Reservists from HMS Dalriada were recently put to the test on the state-of-the-art bridge simulator at Teekay Shipping's navigation and cargo operations training facility in Glasgow. The event was organised by their Marine HR manager Chris McDade who is also a member of the RNR.
