Holiday Inn Dumfries

Nice clean Hotel. Very difficult to find though. Needs eliminated signposts. Could do with some updates. Leasure facilities would be nice. Staff are very good.

Good location, gardens are nice to view from the rooms and restaurant.

Room was very nice. However breakfast was shambolic. Only one empty table due to slow clearing up. No cutlery, cups or glasses. No bread for toasting. Cups too small for volume dispensed by coffee machine.

This is a good hotel. The staff are pleasant and the service good. The hotel isn't exactly central, but is set in very beautiful grounds, with the restaurant in the old part and guest rooms in a new part of the building. The rooms are well maintained, air con worked fine, as did the TV. Bed was comfortable and the rooms have a pod style bathroom with a big shower and good water pressure. Free internet is a bit poor, just about fine for general browsing. The restaurant is very good, as is breakfast. It's very quiet at night and the room has blackout curtains.

Stayed here because daughter had interview for University which was next to the Hotel. Lovely grounds & University. Very peaceful. Near the Dumfies NHS Hospital. Hotel staff friendly & very helpful. Made our stay enjoyable. Comfortable family room with good views. Good price.

Friendly welcoming staff and well equipped room. The hotel grounds are well maintained and great for dogs.

I was working at the local hospital and could not get a better location. It was clean and the staff friendly. Some bits are a bit worn and in need of repair or replacement. But was a nice and comfortable stay.
