Fairly standard, very large Holiday Inn. Right next door to Edinburgh Zoo and a bus ride into the city centre. Also a good compromise location if you need to get to the airport and want to be closer to town - fewer issues with traffic getting out of Edinburgh from here.

My room was nice and a reasonable size. A bonus feature was the sink had a proper plug rather than the usual designer thing that can be a bit of a puzzle to operate.

The public spaces like the bar and restaurant are good - bright and welcoming. Only eat breakfast here which was ok, but let down by greasy haggis.

All the staff that I met were excellent. The Chinese restaurant across the road is good.

Restaurant and bar were both well maintained with a relaxed atmosphere. Check in was a smooth process. The room was a little dated, especially the bath and it did feel as though the walls were quite thin (could still hear lots of noise late at night). However, overall - a perfectly good hotel stay.

Easy to get to on Airport shuttle Airlink100 which stops outside hotel. All staff encountered were very friendly. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Room was good size, and 2 single sofa beds was a bonus with 2 kids!! Pool was small but lovely and warm.

Enjoyed the night here , pool and gym was not too busy in the early evening.
Breakfast was excellent in the lovely restaurant , although it was busy the buffet was well stocked.
The hotel is really well served by buses into the city and local pubs and restaurants, if the hotel menu is not for you.
Car parking is plentiful and well lit.

Location:
Hotel is in close proximity to city centre. Within walking range from monorail. Adjacent to the zoo which is a visual treat.

Rooms:
Comfortable rooms with all essentials. Slightly more spacious than the other hotels of the same brand. Television offers good variety of channels.

Food:
Good for someone looking for a quick bite. Buffet options(cuisine and dishes) repeat after 3 days which tends to get a tad bit boring. Restaurant offers ample of seating space and is comfortable.

Overall Review:
Very Satisfactory and would recommend this place to any traveller. 👍🏻

Excellent location for the zoo, and for getting into the city via bus. Fairly standard hotel breakfast. Rooms looking a bit tired though, and the bed was in direct need of replacing.

The location is on the main road into edinburgh. It has fantastic bus links. And is right next door to the zoo. The rooms are exactly what you need. They are clean and tidy. The staff are amazing. They go out of there way to help you and are very helpful and friendly. The food is reasonably priced for a hotel and is lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

We have been here 1 night of 4. My husband and I with our 8 month old. So far staff have gone out of their way to accommodate us. They are attentive, polite and helpful. We have phoned down for extra towels, a steam iron - all of which have been delivered promptly. The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice. Haven't eaten in the restaurant. Next door to zoo which is handy and guests get half price if entering zoo after 2.30pm. 20 mins bus journey to city centre - bus stops right outside. 1.60 single. Only complaint is that there is no access for wheelchairs / buggies at the front (reception at back of hotel). This made it feel quite dangerous walking out with my son in his pushchair as we had to walk on the road which is windy.

Stayed here 5 nights on a business trip to Edinburgh, had an executive room which was excellent and included a fridge! Staff are friendly, couldn't seem to do enough for us. Breakfast was good, had all the usual items you could want. Didn't eat in the hotel itself for dinners as there is so much variety close by, I would recommend the Chinese restaurant across the road called cool jade. All and all a great stay and the zoo is literally next door. Recommended!
